it's been a month...I'm posting a new one :p
Remember those 2 guys that died long ago and someone built for them really cool statues near a river ? |
You mean Isildur and Anárion?
yep, that's them :)
Okay, I'll post a new one, right? So: This gal was shot but never died.
Celebrian ?
Of course, who else :p Your turn now.
I was actually thinking if you said it was wrong I couldn't really think of anything else...
Remember that place where you can find nice pearls ? |
the Isle of Balar?
Welcome to the Downs !!!
And yes, that's correct :) |
Good..
remember that sharp thingy which also was some sort of weird flower? |
Aeglos...nice but easy :)
Your turn :p
Anyway...
Remember that guy who was the only survivor of a shipwreck? |
Voronwe?
yep, that's the guy ;)
There was this thing, that was slain by another thing.....Who was the slain Thing?
thing???
I'm confused... thing makes it sound it's not alive, but slain clearly shows the contrary or maybe it should only show that these 2 things are identical...I really don't know what to understand from this I dunno, maybe Deagol |
No That is not it Might....You are kinda on the right trail that they are the same, in a way. And yes the things are alive.
alive...
but if they both are things it would also mean they have something in common but since there are so many examples of Men killing Men or Elves killing Elves this can't be so easy it made me think that "thing" might suggest they are animals...so I first thought of the Witch-king's fell beast and Snowmane |
Now you are on the right track!! But no Snowmane is not the answer.
since you ask "who2 and not "what" makes me think it was definitely an individual
then I'd say Carcharoth slain by Huan |
Soooooo close, but Carcharoth is not the "Thing" I am looking for. ;)
Draugluin maybe
That's the one!! Your thread Might.
you were quick with the reply...:)
well, it was a nice question...and definitely VAGUE this thing can trap the light of the sun in it |
The Phial of Galadriel?
nope, it had the light of the evening star in it
Anar?
lol...Anar is the Sun itself...
and even though theoretically the Sun does trap or contain its light I guess, the Sun doesn't qualify as a thing for me...the presence of Arien makes it more a living thing |
The unlight of Ungoliant? It traps all light
no...
I guess I haven't used the right words I wanted to use "thing" here not as a term for an unknown name, but as a synonim for object |
Perhaps one of the Sils?
they had the light of the trees
Ah yes but the Sils would trap and refract light :p Ok this one will take awhile
Elessar? (I think "Elessar" and "Elendilmir" define my part in the Quiz Room later now)
Sorry Valier, but Legate is right
The Elessar had the light of the Sun trapped within it, and those who looked through it were said to see the withered or aged as whole and young again. It was even claimed to have some power of healing. Now we are talking mostly about the first Elessar, the one that greater power, since the second one given to Aragorn was also made by Celebrimbor but it was not as good as the first. |
Quote:
...but of coourse it was the Elessar! :D Okay, guess I'm up to post the next. So... ...remember that guy who was always left in trouble by his pals? |
Pippin maybe...probably because of the quote from the movie
Nope, and to make matters clear I might add that I am using the info from the books, at least in this case.
well...I thought at least something in the movies might be true...:D
Bilbo...I can recall a few times the Company of Thorin left him in trouble I guess |
