Nienna 08-03-2010 03:30 PM

I'm around now. Sorry I've been gone with work and such. I'll be around now until I decide it's bedtime... which will most likely be a few hours before deadline.

Phantom, Phantom, Phantom... what are you up to? I don't trust you at all... Nerwen as Persephone? Interesting theory but I don't know as it is conclusive. So if Nerwen is Persephone who is Hades? That is the more important question in my opinion.

Voting:

Kath --> BG(1/7), Nog (2/5), No Vote, Rikae
Mira --> BG (5/7), No Vote, Phantom, Rikae
Zil --> BG (2/7), Steve (5/8), Tum (1/4), Rikae
Nienna --> Steve (2/5), Steve (4/8), Tum (4/4), Rikae
Nerwen --> Nog, Steve (8/8), Nog (5/5), Rikae
Folwren --> Steve (1/5), No Vote, Lottie (4/4), Rikae
Lalaith --> Boro, Steve (1/8), Lottie (1/4), Rikae
Shasta --> Steve (3/5), Nog (1/5), No Vote, Rikae
Phantom --> No Vote, Steve (6/8), Nog (4/5), Sally
Sally --> BG (3/7), No Vote, Nog (2/5), Foley

Edit: x-ed

Folwren 08-03-2010 03:32 PM

I actually have been thinking at least one of our remaining wolves is one of the quiet ones. It makes me cranky, because I don't like lynching people because they're quiet. On the other hand, they're not adding anything to the game, and it is very late in the game so they should have participated at least some by now, and if they ARE a wolf, they will continue to slide under the radar.

Edit: X-posted with Nienna.

I laid the bread-crumbs to Persephone's door. You have to find the wolf. My part is done (other than my general noise-making of course). :p

Folwren 08-03-2010 03:36 PM

I'm off for a while. I am not sure when I'll be back.

Edit: X-posted with Phantom. Meanie.

Kath 08-03-2010 03:54 PM

Kath: BG; Nog; (no vote); Rikae

Foley: Eonwe; (no vote); Lottie; Rikae

Nienna: Eonwe; Eonwe; Tum (this was after wilwa AND Rikae and put Tum ahead of Lottie - veeery bold if a wolf);

Nerwen: Nog; Eonwe (clinched the lynch); Nog (clinched the lynch); Rikae

Lalaith: Boro; Eonwe; Lottie (clinched it); Rikae

Shasta: Eonwe; Nog; (no vote); Rikae

Mira: BG (late, really pushing the bandwagon - not that dangerous for a wolf Day 1 given the reasons behind this lynch); (no vote); phantom; Rikae

phantom: Eonwe; Eonwe; Nog; sally

sally: BG; (no vote); Nog; Folwren

*sigh* And as I finish this I realise Nienna has done one. But anyway from that I guess Nerwen and Lalaith appear most wolvish. But it depends on playing style I think. Nerwen might be bold enough to live with that kind of voting record and play it off as 'would I really do that as a wolf?'. But then we have different thoughts on her role. Lalaith probably not, but might be inexperienced enough as a wolf to simply have the final vote. Anyone know? Nienna voting after the two known wolves makes her look more innocent.

Hmm maybe I'm wrong about Mira. There was a sudden burst of energy on Day 3. No trigger. No wolves had died.

So, Lalaith maybe for me toDay.

Kath 08-03-2010 04:05 PM

Bedtime for me, so yeah:

++LALAITH

Seriously, have you people even READ my posts?

I'm going to go cry in a corner until someone of my intelligence comes along. And it isn't looking like I'll be out anytime soon.

the phantom 08-03-2010 04:27 PM

If only your requirement had been someone beyond your intelligence...

And instead of complaining about people not reading your posts, why don't you just be more plain and obvious? ;)

God is busy laughing at your feeble attempt to get me to come out. (That's not what she said.)

Glirdaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn! *whines*

I have a funny joke, but I don't think I can post it. Glirdamod might get cross with me.

the phantom 08-03-2010 04:39 PM

I'm getting sick of your hinting. Let's just get it out there...

You're saying that you are Hestia, and that when you as the Mythomaniac selected Tum on Night 2, not only did you inherit her gift (Seership), but you also inherited her dreams. I would've outed you long before, but I thought it'd be unsporting. But now, I'm thinking you deserve it.

satansaloser2005 08-03-2010 04:43 PM

You are kidding, right?

....or....

You've selected the wrong virgin. Please collect your two cents from the tray labelled "fail" and try again.

ETA: Oh, forget it, I'm leaving the original version (;)) in unless someone tells me I need to remove it. It's not like the statement is inappropriate.

Well, there seems to be only one other virgin role alive, so....?

And this analysis of Lalaith is not coming along as well as I'd hoped. It may be up in the next hour or so.

the phantom 08-03-2010 05:07 PM

Sally, Sally...

*shakes head and snickers*

Did you know that it's completely possible I know exactly who you are, and I'm just driving you nuts on purpose because I know you can't say too much on the matter?

satansaloser2005 08-03-2010 05:10 PM

*pokes head out, looks at Shasta*

And just whoooo are you, strange person? Well, go on, who are you?

....

....

....

....

Maybe we could become buddies and make friendship bracelets and play Risk all night long and in the morning we could go out for pancakes. Surely you eat pancakes? Pancakes (and other sweet breakfast foods) conquer all!

EDIT: x'd with Phantom. This post, of course, was directed toward Shasta.

I know. In fact, I'm pretty sure everyone knows who I am, so I'm just being annoying with hints because I know that anyone who wants to have me lynched is clearly either stupid, evil, both, or just hasn't been reading the thread.

Foley, which are you? :Merisu:

satansaloser2005 08-03-2010 05:13 PM

Besides, Phantom, I really couldn't let the game finish without at least one virgin joke. You know me. :Merisu:

the phantom 08-03-2010 05:13 PM

Whatever. I want to lynch you and I am none of those things.

Clearly you're at least one, because you missed the only really important hint I ever gave.

Incidentally, since we're sharing, who are you then?

....

That's what I thought.

satansaloser2005 08-03-2010 05:19 PM

Also, this game bores me. Let me break down the village for you.

Kath: quiet
Mira: quiet
Nienna: quiet
Nerwen: Nerwen
Folwren: evil
Lalaith: quiet
Shasta: quiet
Phantom: ....
Sally: shiny

Notice how there's a lot of one word? I don't like it. :(

Nienna 08-03-2010 06:02 PM

I'm here. Being LOUD! ... not that I have anything particularly helpful to contribute.

How about a list?

Definitely Innocent:
Nienna

Most probably innocent and won't be voting:
Sally
Meeper

Confusing/quiet and won't be voting:
Kath
Foley
Shasta

Could Vote:
Nerwen
Lalaith
Phantom

Lalaith 08-03-2010 06:07 PM

I know. Sorry, I have been quiet for the last couple of days for RL reasons...and indeed, the whole village has, as Sally pointed out, been quiet. Remarkably little reading to catch up on.
Kath, I have no problem with you voting for me, all fairīs in love and werewolf, after all, but I donīt really understand your analysis. What do you mean I clinched the lynch for Lottie? I was the second to vote for her after Nogs did. She wasnīt lynched, she was killed by wolves that Night, Nogs was the one who was lynched.
(Just noticed that Nienna's vote tally is therefore also inaccurate as she puts me first of 4 to vote for Lottie that day)
The Nerwen = Persephone theory is interesting and plausible enough but we need to lynch wolves now...I really donīt think Nerwen is a wolf.
I too picked up on the drinking comment and wondered if Kath were the cursed. Her protests of innocence did seem quite sincere though. Hmmm.
Mira - well by her own admission sheīs not been paying the game full attention, but Iīve known non-committal wolves before this. I donīt think it absolves her from attention or suspicion.
Sally - seems upset and noisy. Would a wolf be attracting attention to herself like this?
Phantom is still full of beans, and being inscrutable. Why?
Nienna - the defence by Rikae on day one, when she was put up for a lynching candidate, is definitely interesting.
Folwren - she seems nice and a bit confused about a lot of things. That of course doesnīt mean she canīt be a wolf.
Shasta - see Mira.
I donīt think Iīll be voting for Sally or Nerwen today. Thatīs as far as Iīve got in my decision-making.

satansaloser2005 08-03-2010 06:11 PM

Good girl. *pats head, gives cookie*

My own list then. Practice what you preach and all that.

Would love to vote....
Foley
Kath

Would vote if I didn't think it might end poorly
Glirdan :p

Considering the alignment of....
Shasta
Mira
Lal
Nienna

Probably innocent (if a bit insane)
Nerwen
Phantom

Pure genius
Sally

EDIT: x'd with Lal

Dagnabit! What ARE you? This is ridiculously stupid. I'm so mad right now. Who the blank-a-de-blank are you?

All I've gotten out of your ridicluous posts are...ridiculousness that doesn't make heads nor tails, and it makes me mad, because it makes me look stupid and I don't like looking stupid, or it makes me look evil and I'm not!

I apologize... you are correct and you were the second to give Lottie a vote. This doesn't make you any less suspicious in my mind though. A second vote is almost worst than a first. A first is risky to whomever gives it but a second?... not risky at all... the person already has support to be lynched and you are just helping it along.

satansaloser2005 08-03-2010 06:26 PM

Needless to say, Foley, I....well, I can't, actually.

ETA: How ridiculous can I be here exactly? As long as I don't say "I am *censored*" I'm technically following the rules. ;)

Folwren 08-03-2010 06:29 PM

Sorry for the outburst. I just lost my temper. I have never taken being called stupid very well.

Hey, I never said you were stupid. I said people were stupid, evil, both, or hasn't been reading the thread. (Read, reading the thread closely enough.)

Incidentally, all the "everyone else is stupid" talk? Biggest. Hint. Ever. (Besides the Risk and pancakes anyway.)

Thereīs little to go on except banter at the moment. Sally, my sweet, what do you want us to do with your hints?

I want to reach a decision and go to bed but all I can come up with is a theory that Nienna and Kath are wolves together as they both seem to be trying to frame me with dodgy evidence. However, this is possibly just late-night paranoia on my part and coincidental carelessness on theirs.

Enjoy the sweetness that is someone besides Peter Jackson controlling a subtlety mace. (Enjoy it while you can. I could only afford to rent it for a week.)

As for your suspects, I would be perfectly happy with a Kath lynch. What do you say?

I do have an aesthetic gaming issue with voting for someone who votes for me. It looks tacky.

However, on other fronts it is tempting. Kathīs analysis is oddly careless by her standards (and not just about me). Her increased participation co-incides with being two wolves down, which could be a stepping-into-the-breach operation. If sheīs not a wolf I think she could (despite her protests to the contrary) be the cursed, so lynching her before the wolves turn her would be a pre-emptive strike.

Ahhhh, right you are, and fair enough.

However, the rest of this post also is fair. If you have a wolf, you lynch them, whether it looks opportunistic or not. (If that makes sense.) Basically you can't let the wolves get away just because voting for them is like wearing socks with sandals.

Also, what are your thoughts on Foley? And where the heck is Phantom?

Shastanis Althreduin 08-03-2010 06:56 PM

So my laptop fell off my bed while I was getting a drink of water and unplugged. Shasta no happy.

Analysis of Lalaith, the short version - aka What I Can Remember:

Is it just me, or is there an interesting Lalaith/Kath vibe today? First Kath leaves something that could be construed as a blatant Cursed-hint, and now Lal seems all for lynching her? After not going after Kath at all previously? I'm beginning to think one's a wolf and one's the cursed (if Eonwe wasn't). Trouble is, I'm not sure which is which. I think I'd be fine with lynching either one, though.

How is my voting record "wolvish", Kath? Because I voted for innocents the first three Days? We now know that all votes cast by living players on the first three Days were for innocents. You were, technically, responsible for less of that than some people, simply because you failed to vote on Day Three. The point is, it doesn't matter who "clinched the lynch". In each case the alternative was innocent too. The only room for really "suspicious" voting, under the circumstances, would be voting tum after her reveal, and I don't think anyone did that. Finally, do you even know who was lynched on Day 3?

Because you seem a bit confused on that score. So, um, yeah, what I said.

And once again, I understand that it's hard to get back in the loop at this stage, and that you might be genuinely trying to make sense of things, but in my opinion you're just not trying hard enough, by a long shot. I mean, it looks like you cast your vote for Lalaith toDay on the basis of her having "clinched the lynch" of someone who wasn't lynched at all! EDIT:And you also say I "clinched" Steve's lynch, when he was already leading by two or three votes, and it was just on DL. Not that it matters, when Nog was innocent too, but it exemplifies just how sloppy your analysis has been.
EDIT: And on checking, it seems Lalaith cast the second vote on Lottie. Folwren cast the fourth.

Oh, and phantom? I could point out a nice big hole in your little theory about me, but that's probably not in my interest right now.

*joins the Cryptic Club*:p

EDIT2: added comment.

Well, I donīt know her as a player very well. But given that her fellow wolves would have been Rikae and wilwa, who would have been clued up about the game and the roles, would she really be so confused at this late stage? Would she put this on? I donīt know.
And speaking of wilwa, another point against Kath was that odd defence of her post that wilwa made. (The one Inzil spotted)
Phantom - who knows. Being inscrutable and marching to the beat of his own drum somewhere I expect.

As opposed to lynching a Wolf? If we're lynching the cursed, we're not lynching a wolf, and if we're pretty sure we know who the cursed is it's not in the wolves's best interest to go for them at Night since we'd just lynch them the following Day, so... why not use them as lynch fodder?

Hmmm, okay, but now I'm curious as to why you're reiterating that. If it's already been made... You kind of look like you're in 'lynch anyone' mode now, Lal.

It's pretty standard these Days for wolf-cubs to act confused– or even to actually be confused, as quite often their packmates deliberately tell them as little as possible, so they won't give themselves away by knowing too much. I'm surprised you don't know that, actually.

I don't say her confusion means she's a wolf, either– it's been a confusing game all round– but it's not an argument against it.
