The Only Real Estel 07-26-2005 08:21 AM

Thanks, how about:

Quote:

"they will look"

p.s. Happy 1000th post to the thread :)

Holbytlass 07-26-2005 04:54 PM

Aragorn about Boromir after he dies...they will look for his return but he will not come.

The Only Real Estel 07-26-2005 04:56 PM

Aye that's the one. Your go, Holby.

Holbytlass 07-28-2005 05:50 AM

'...master ring, to control all others....'

Folwren 07-28-2005 11:28 AM

Galadriel's naration in the preface of the movie.

'...In the fires of Mount Doom, he created a master ring to control all others.'

Is that right?...I mean, the quote. I'm pretty sure that's where it comes from, but I'm not sure of the quote itself that I just added.

Holbytlass 07-28-2005 01:11 PM

Yes, it was Galadriel in the preface with the candlestick!! And close enough (if not perfect) for the quote. Your turn Folwren. :)

Folwren 07-28-2005 01:29 PM

Oh, good. I've been looking forward to doing this one.

"That's mine."

Elianna 07-28-2005 02:47 PM

It's either Merry or Pippin who says 'That one's mine." concerning mushrooms on the road right before the first meeting with a Ringwraith.

Folwren 07-28-2005 09:23 PM

Right, right! Your go.

Elianna 07-29-2005 11:28 AM

"This one doom."

Dimturiel 07-29-2005 11:32 AM

"Each race is bound to this fate, this one doom." Elrond at the Council.

Elianna 07-29-2005 03:16 PM

Si. Your turn. While I sing the Doom song, doom doom doom doom dommdomdomdoomdoomdomdoom!

Dimturiel 07-30-2005 02:26 AM

Intresting song, Elianna. So here it is: "As you wish"

Kitanna 07-30-2005 10:16 AM

Boromir to Frodo and Aragorn, I think. When they're trying to cross the mountains and Frodo drops the Ring.

Dimturiel 07-30-2005 11:00 AM

That's right.

Kitanna 07-30-2005 02:52 PM

Okie dokie

"We shall not meet..."
Here's a hint, in the movie it's said in Elvish

The Only Real Estel 07-30-2005 03:42 PM

Galadriel to Aragorn in Lothlorien?

Kitanna 07-30-2005 04:38 PM

Aye, that it is.

The Only Real Estel 07-31-2005 01:37 PM

Try:

Quote:

"they have taken"

Folwren 07-31-2005 03:21 PM

Boromir to Aragorn as he was dying.

"They have taken the little ones!"

The Only Real Estel 07-31-2005 09:31 PM

Darn, it was said twice. :o
That wasn't the one I was looking for, though...

Kitanna 07-31-2005 09:44 PM

Gandalf in the Mines of Moria. "They have taken the bridge..." when he's reading about the dwarves.

The Only Real Estel 07-31-2005 09:49 PM

That’s the one I was thinking of. Sorry about the mixup, Folwren. :o Your go, Kitanna

Kitanna 07-31-2005 09:54 PM

Okie dokie
"Get some sleep..."

Dimturiel 08-01-2005 03:46 AM

Aragorn to Frodo one night, when Frodo hears him singing about Luthien and asks him who she is.

Folwren 08-01-2005 08:27 AM

 Nuts!

Kitanna 08-01-2005 09:53 AM

Right you are, Dimturiel.

Dimturiel 08-01-2005 11:12 AM

Try this one: "...I am proud... "

Elianna 08-01-2005 01:06 PM

Frodo: I am proud of it [cracking]. Cheers Gaffer.

In the Green Dragon in EE.

Dimturiel 08-02-2005 01:05 AM

Right you are, Elianna.

Elianna 08-02-2005 07:57 AM

Interestingly enough, I think this is only said once in FotR:

"...the Halfings!"

The Only Real Estel 08-02-2005 08:38 AM

'Lurtz' to his orcish underlings near the end of the movie?

"Find the Halflings!"

Folwren 08-02-2005 11:35 AM

Believe it or not, I love that quote, but only because of an hilariously funny joke my little brother made out of it once...

Elianna 08-02-2005 06:02 PM

Do tell Folwren.

You're right, btw, The Only Real Estel; you're turn.

Folwren 08-02-2005 08:04 PM

It takes voice inflection, sadly. :D It was the quote... 'Find the Halfings! Argh! Find the Haflings!' but in a rediculously high, squeaky voice, and with him being so young and to be doing that...it was simply hilarious!

The Only Real Estel 08-03-2005 07:30 AM

Okay:

Quote:

"I've never heard"

Kitanna 08-03-2005 10:48 AM

Barliman Butterbur to Frodo. "What his right name is I've never heard..."

The Only Real Estel 08-03-2005 10:56 AM

That's the one. Your go, Kitanna.

Kitanna 08-03-2005 11:04 AM

"...we had any hope.”

Kath 08-03-2005 11:13 AM

"It is long since we had any hope."

Which I think is Boromir at the Council of Elrond.
