Well, I have to admire your front. But I hardly think that it is win-win for someone who was hoping for Elrond to hang around for a bit longer.

For me, it is win-win at the moment as Elrond was one of those that I hoped to eliminate fairly soon. But I remain conscious of the dangers posed by that blundering Wargish mob ...

The Saucepan Man 02-13-2006 07:52 AM

By the way, Ang, wasn't Fili one of your favoured Dwarves?

Anguirel 02-13-2006 08:02 AM

Relatively favoured...relatively...

Eomer of the Rohirrim 02-13-2006 08:32 AM

Also, you must suppose that, as soon as the Chief Warg goes, his followers may wish to die with him. ;)

Celuien 02-13-2006 09:59 AM

*sigh*
I was hoping Elrond would make it to the finals, if for no other reason than to have him be defeated in a one or two on one contest with William rather than as a sacrifice to the Wargs. But if he goes now, not all is lost. :(

I just hope that we can eliminate the Warg fairly soon.

Probably the worst LotR-jokes are about Elrond, so if he dies, maybe they will cease.

Lhunardawen 02-14-2006 08:51 PM

Elrond - 11
Chief Warg - 8
Fili - 1

Did I have that right?

Ah, madame dancing spawn. I see we may have similar interests in mind. ;)

Glirdan 02-14-2006 09:42 PM

No Lhuna, I'm counting (mind you, I could very well be off with this):

Elrond - 9
Chief Warg - 8
Fili - 3

But, I could very well have missed those votes for Elrond (from Fili to Elrond). If somebody (other than Lhuna) could double check for me. I would be most grateful.

Edit: If anybody wants to do the cast out for me this time, be my guest. I do not have time to do it right now and may not get a chance until this time (approximately closer to 10:30 my time) tomorrow. Thanks.

As Big Leo in "The Freshman" said when asked whether he was also Leo, he
said something like: "Yes, I am. The terms are synonomous."

Actually, my cable service says my present computer isn't strong enough,
or whatever, to connect, so I have to use an older connection in my school library
(Tuor of Gondolin) and a newer one in free libraries (Tuor in Gondolin), and
I haven't the vaguest idea how to change the Tuor of Gondolin tag :eek: :(
being virtually computer illiterate. But
if Tuor of Gondolin doesn't count all I can do is to quote Larry
London, also in The Freshman:
Quote:

Larry London: [sings in German] Mein Herz schwebt in Blut! That means 'My Heart Swims In Blood'.
Clark Kellogg: Yeah

Close ranks my friends! Keep those lines firm! Now is the time to be strong and not waver! Vote Elrond!!!

Glirdan 02-15-2006 09:42 PM

Well, you all know who's gone today. He's dull, boring and really, REALLY old. That's right, Elrond has been evicted off the island. But, instead, the tribe tied him up, grabbed bows lined up in the form of a firing squad and let those arrows fly. As I once was in a game of WW, Elrond was turned into a pincushion.

I AM a man of my word.

Formendacil 02-15-2006 11:00 PM

Okay, so it's Fili today...

Surely there isn't anybody here actually defending him? I mean, he's pretty boring.... Pretty much just a blond beard and a blue hoodie, for all that we know of him.

++ Fili

Lhunardawen 02-16-2006 02:10 AM

I'm still open to any talks if you're interested, dancing spawn. ;)

But for now, ++FILI.

The Chief Warg will have his chance, especially now that I've seen that there's no threat at all from the band of Warg brothers. :p

Nilpaurion Felagund 02-16-2006 03:09 AM

I am a Warg-friend.

I intend to see the banner of the glorious Wargs raised over this thread.

Is anyone with me?

++Fíli

Celuien 02-16-2006 04:13 AM

++CHIEF WARG

I plead with all non-Warger Fili voters to reconsider and join me in an effort to rid this show of a menace. Please, help evict the Chief Warg before it devours us all.

Additionally, Wargers aside, the Warg's presence has been hurting ratings. Families can't watch for fear the beast will go on a rampage.

Blasphemy! Heresy! For that remark you deserve to burn in the stake!

Not a good Warg-friend figure we make, Nilp.

Thanks, Alice. Sorry about that. It's just that, after ages of undergoing persecution from everyone--good, bad, apathetic citizens--I think that armed with the true knowledge of the nobility the Wargs we should uphold them as symbols of purity and excellence in an increasingly corrupt and mediocre world.

SAVE THE WARGS!

Do you really want to know what that means?

Remember what I said, if you're a Werewolf and you survive past DAY 1, you win? Well, I'm your cobbler. ;)

Eomer of the Rohirrim 02-16-2006 05:57 AM

Well put, Nilpaurion. In any case, I heard that ratings were actually increasing (certainly in twisted Britain) because they want to see the Warg strung-up. There's nothing like watching something you hate. I had the misfortune of stumbling upon Young, Posh, and Loaded the other night and was rendered too numb to change the channel. :rolleyes:

++FILI

We all know that, when you break up a double-act, the two individuals cease to draw. Without Kili, he's nothing, and has no right to be on the island. Get him out.

It is well documented that Wargs are meticulously clean. However the dwarves are reproachable in their hygiene. Your arguement is therefore invalid.

Because I have the feeling that if he isn't lynched soon he will win with all these wargomanics around and I have another winner candidate.

Easy, girl! Let's not lynch the contestants. They have to be kept alive for the Survivor Reunion. ;)

That seems a little harsh to me. What with keeping days open until the non-Warg candidate has amassed the most votes and disqualifying votes for the Warg, are you sure that you are not a secret Wargophile? :p ;)

Eonwe 02-16-2006 12:06 PM

As much as it pains me (I had hoped to see my favorite Dwarf somewhat closer to the end), it is in the interest of The Chiefest Warg, so it must be done.

Tuor of Gondolin 02-16-2006 12:32 PM

Hmm. Perhaps SpM should consider tests for these Warg Fanatics
to make sure they've not been bitten by a warg bug.
As a helpful aide for him consider:
http://werewolves.monstrous.com/werewolves_powers.htm

Quote:

Ablation of heart or the brain

Werewolves can be killed by any wound that destroys the heart or the brain, decapitation of its head and removal of its heart, or any form of death that causes brain or heart damage (such as hanging or other oxygen-deprivation methods).

*

Silver bullets

It is said that shooting using silver bullets is very effective in killing werewolves. Even if the efficacy of silver has often been traced to pagan belief in the power of certain metals to ward off evil spirits, its appearence in werewolf mythology seems to be after the rise of the catholic church. Silver is a metal has long been considered to have mystical properties. Its influence ranges from zero to being the only thing that can injure or kill a were .
:eek: :D

Oh yes, I almost forgot:
