GASP! Gil-galad, that's cheating!....Isn't it? ;)

I guess it's about time I took another shot at description:
Sophia the Thunder Mistress: Your name makes me think of a extremely awe-inflicting supernatural being. You have long wavy charcoal-silver hair that glimers everytime you turn your head. You have gray eyes and pale skin. Your voice is deep and resonating, and will get the attention of anyone in your vincinity. Your hands are very cold, but you don't mind one bit. Either that much is true, or you're a dwarf. ;)

Heh, I do chuckle a lot, apart from when I get hysterics and can't stop laughing, and then it descends into something like a Muttley laugh. And I have very small feet, and have been know to deliberately buy larger shoes so they dont look too small. That is, apart from right now as they are swollen to monstrous proportions having spent the whole day trekking around York - a place where being descended from Hobbits does have its advantages.

Sophia the Thunder Mistress conjours up an idea of a scary, very tall woman with long black hair, swirling clothes, long fingernails and lots of jewellery made from garnets and bloodstones. Or is that what you hoped it might conjour up? ;)

Not tall, hair is neither black nor long... bites her fingernails, wears little jewelry, all of it silver. :p I don't think I thought nearly hard enough about my name before I chose it!

I meant mass, not height, oh Tim-the-Enchanter.

(And that doesn't mean I'm fat).

I feel the same way, Sophia. Hence the long-time shortening of my moniker (<-thank littlemanpoet for my new love of that word) to 'Fea'. I like Fea. I'm not so crazy about my creative writing phase where the only characters I created had zilch for last names, but rather, came from somewhere. So I had a Lady Miriam Anamaeri Serafina of Ayvieron (yes, lame), when I came up with my "of the" username. Haha. However, in keeping with the actual point of this thread:

Sophia the Thunder Mistress has always, in my mind, barked far worse than she bit. Although the name would suggest a boisturous temper, she has rather less then such, and is more prone to munificent compliments than explosions. But, in keeping with her title, Sophia has is an incarnation of Athena, who's been allowed to play with her daddy's lightening bolts. :) This picture includes the strappy sandals and shield.

Fea,

I found a pic of my friend taken 10 years ago .... the likeness is terrifying even down to the hairstyle. She is really tiny and feisty so I will be less freaked if you tell me you are six foot tall and timid (unlikely) if on the other hand you are about 5" and are liable to beat up a whole van load of guys if they give you any grief ...... the I am beyond freaked.......

What about 5'3", and uh... liable to beat up a whole van load of guys if they give me any grief. Or more likely, liable to threaten them within an inch of their lives. :D My mission in life is complete... I've got Mithalwen beyond freaked. Oh yeah, and Mitha... I've now got a mental image of you permanently stuck wearing a kilt. And you're usually accompanied by Eomer of the Rohirrim (and Biff), both of which also wear kilts. :D

Well as life mission goes.. that is bizarre.... Who is biff? An the honour of sharing you imagination with a kilted Eomer (why do I keep on thinking of that "Don't step on the ducks" joke? :( ) is slightly mitigated by having to wear a kilt myself? Do I have to? I am really not entitled .....

Feanor of the Peredhil 02-16-2005 01:29 PM

Biff is Eomer's keeper. :D And you've now got on a kilt and a black t-shirt with the legend "I hate my kilt". Scary, where these images come from...

Fea

Mithalwen 02-16-2005 01:39 PM

Well I do have a black t shirt with a legend which I nearly put on this evening... but it is a New Zealand rugby one with "Ruck, maul, tackle - and that's just getting a beer" :D

Heh. Now I have an image of Mithalwen as a ladette, hanging around with the University Rugby lads having Yard of Ale competitions. Not really... ;)

Eomer of the Rohirrim 02-16-2005 04:00 PM

Biff is not my keeper; he merely dictates for me. Granted, that perhaps makes it possible for him to manipulate my words but that's a whole new trinket of deceit. My keeper is another entity altogether.

But let's open this one up a bit further. How do you imagine Biff? I'll give you one clue to go on. He does not wear a kilt!

Manipulates words huh? Hmm...reminds me of either a lawyer, journalist, or politician.
Lawyer: A highly refined twister of words. This version of Biff will never go without wearing slacks and dress shoes, even in 110 degree weather. He has a clean cut hair style that is parted off to one side.
Journalist: Here my image of him is a bit younger, and he's one of those guys holding a microphone and he wears the same expression on his face year-round. (In fact, rumors say it's stuck that way.) Biff always is found wearing a black fleece jacket. And he has blue eyes and blond hair.
Politician: This is the oldest of the Biffs, and perhaps the most cunning. He's capable of making the most vague promises, because the more general and confusing, the more likely that they will seem to be fufilled. This Biff of course, always wears a tuxedo like outfit when on the job.

I'm really not planning on those being accurate, it was just fun writing those. I wonder if anyone would imagine me different from my allias "Forlorn Melody?"

Well actually really just not recently. I was a founder member of the Woman's Rugby Club at University, was very quick at boat-racing and was an accomplice in various pranks played on our male coaches  ....but one of the reasons I stopped in my final year was that they had developed an "out lad the lads" ethos when I was away in France which crossed my personal rubicon.. and I swear I couldn't look less like a ladette......but some of the rugby boys were very nice ... and mixed rugby is a bit of a laugh...

So you were more of a 'ladylike ladette'? I now have an image of you with broad shoulders and a warlike temperament, and a secret beermat collection... But, mixed rugby? No. No I won't go there... ;)

I don't think the term had been coined in those days.. and no beermats.... and oh ...you coward.... ;)

Elennar Starfire 02-17-2005 01:54 PM

For some strange reason I now imagine The Phantom as Don Dorcha from Lord of the Dance.

Assasin 02-17-2005 04:22 PM

I always picture The Phantom as looking like the Secretary of Defense from "24".... no offence...

Gil-Galad 02-17-2005 06:59 PM

funny...now that i think of it...i picture the Phantom as a rather dark figure, who enjoys his electronics, but also may end up playing as Ronald McDonald...

elronds_daughter 02-22-2005 08:15 AM

I'm now picturing Eomer of the Rohirrim as his avatar: Joe Cool, complete with sunglasses, attitude, and smirk.

Eomer of the Rohirrim 02-22-2005 12:07 PM

Yeah, unfortunately I probably do look more like Joe than Eomer.

Nimrodel_9 02-24-2005 08:15 PM

How do I imagine Eomer? Hmm.... He has brown hair and blue eyes, is about 5'9", and drives a blue car of some sort. Why blue? I don't know. :p :D

By the way Eomer, I love your siggy. :D

Eomer of the Rohirrim 02-25-2005 05:43 AM

Do you imagine me racing through the neighbourhood with the top down, loud irritating music blaring from the speakers?

I despise cars.

But Nim definitely has long blonde hair, looks about 13 years old, wears frilly skirts, and dances round the peach trees singing "Tra la lally la!"

:D

ninlaith 02-25-2005 04:21 PM

So Eomer..you're either like me and you're old enough to have your lisence but are deathly afraid of getting it, you're not old enough to have one and despise cars because you can't drive yet, or you're, once again like me, and hate cars because they're dangerous and like to jump out, and run into you. Take your pick.

Eomer of the Rohirrim 02-25-2005 05:43 PM

No, I just despise cars.

Someone posted earlier (page 4 or something) that she imagined me as a biker. That was hilarious.

Hmm, was that me? I can't remember...except that my guess was way off.... The Joe Cool avatar still isn't clicking in my brain yet, though I do see you with a rather large box of cookies in your hand, or you're plotting something diabolical to get some.

blond hair- no
13- I am actually 14, but that's about right.
skirts- No! I hate skirts and dresses! :p
singing- I do like to sing.

Bleh! No! Whoever invented the loud booming speakers that keep you up all night with rap music needs to be poked with sticks!

You don't like cars Eomer? That's good. I don't see what the big deal is. As long as it runs. :) I am guessing you do not like bikes either. I loves my bike. :D
