Typical me...I'd ham up a "sweet yet brave Shire lass" routine and make them like me. And then I'd meet Aragorn, kill Arwen, become Gondor's queen, and leave Merry and Pippin broken hearted.
I'm really not a cruel wicked girl...I just want Aragorn...and if I just so happen to meet Merry and Pippin before hand, why not go for some sweet sweet Hobbit lovin'?

well, most likely I would find some corner, far away from the alcoholic stuff (i'm underage, and the very smell of the stuff makes me sick) and hide in it until I could escape. Peole going insane like that scare me, though I would still love to meet merry and pippin. Once I could sneak out, I try to find my way to rivendell, Lothlorien, or even fangorn or mirkwood, searching for Gollum, who I think is really still alive.

Well sure I'd join them!! If we were locked in the room then it would probably be a while before we got out. What's the harm in passing time by being 'hobbitish'?

I'm not much of an alcohol fan either. So, like I've probably said before, I'd settle for getting us all high on sugar. (Then sing a bunch of songs, making people think we were drunk)

Of course I would definately party right along with Merry and Pippin. What else would you do? Sit there and watch them bounce up and down singing "John Jacob Jingle Hymer Schmidt" without joining? Not fun at all. So either you join them or your out of luck. [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

that situation sounds familiar... just like mah birthday party...everyone was hyper and messing with a lighter.. I was just sitting at the table, scowling at everyone and telling them to put it down. I had to confiscate it in the end...... so um, to be quite honest, I'd stand there looking all sour and "I'm above this kind of thing". Sorry....

I would get some stupid passer-by out on the street to go and smuggle some beer into the room before I went in, and then we would have a totally crazy party involving truth or dare ("So, who did you think was the most I'm-great-as person you met on your journeys?"), lots of sugar and caffeine, bouncing off the walls, random drunken songs, and finishing with Pippin getting an electric guitar from somewhere and playing a rock version of 'A Elbereth Glithoniel' on the roof and then jumping off the top of the building! Oh, and all the other living Fellowship members (and Éomer and Éowyn and possibly Arwen) woud come and join us!

Hmmm...Aragorn and Éowyn completely off their faces and Arwen possibly not invited...*nice mental image...I apologise, my sick mind runs away with me sometimes lol*

The situation at your birthday party sounds familiar to mine, only I was the one playing with fire. To mingle Ages (for which I beg pardon), the year was 1989, or perhaps 1988 or 1990. I was attending a Middle Earth bbs computer gathering at a strange sort of Inn known as a pizza place. In days of old, before the internet, those of us from bbs computer forums would often get together to meet the faces behind the names.

Wanting to provide just a touch of magical entertainment, I thought to produce a small flash of flame while sitting at the table. Being an active member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians at the time, (Buffalo, Gene Gordon Ring 12), you'll understand that the tale I herewith tell is quite based on reality.

Long tale short, instead of a mere fiery flash, I accidentally created a globular fireball larger than I'd expected. The ball of flame fell into my hands, where I cradled it for a moment, thinking how funny it was that there was absolutely no pain or burning sensation. Amazing even myself, I dropped the fireball onto the table, where it burned a hole through the cover of a friend's document before vanishing.

A hush fell on the assembled crowd, ... from the hosts Elven Lady Brandoria and her two friends, lords of Men with the very unpretentious names of Salty and Paul Beer Sniffer, to all the guests. I grinned sheepishly, did no further displays of magic, and ever afterwards tried to live down the exaggerated claims that Gandalf nearly burnt down an entire Inn by uttering a single command.

As for your own situation, Dark Shadow, I'm sure your birthday party was by far the merrier for being hosted with such safe wisdom as your own.

I would join them. They sometimes come across as hyperactive, but they never would be labeled as boring. I think it would be lots of fun.

I'll have to go against the majority of the votes and say I would rather be spending some quiet time elsewhere. If I were trapped, I'd probably grow rather annoyed and end up hurting them or insulting their feelings. Best to leave me out of the party. [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]
