But I'm not sure which instance it happened in. It was either Turin, with the people of Brethil, who found Nienor after Glaurung cast the spell on her. Or, before that, she was found and then lost by Mablung, so he could have said it. -amyrlis
These are indeed strange days. Dreams and legends spring to life out of the grass. -Eomer
|
That was Turin to Niniel

Morgoth to Hurin after the Nirnaeth?
|
I'm not sure if it was after the Nirnaeth but YES, Morgoth to Hurin, "in a high place at Thangorodrim".
|
I'm quite sure that it was, but anyway...
Who, to whom? "Get thee gone, gangrel!" |
hm, r you sure that's silm77?
if not gangrel, that may be Feanor to Fingon, or him again to Melkor, that's in Valinor, or Glaurung to Turambar before Nargothrond bridge, but no gangrels involved in the conversations there, methinks. yet that can't be Frodo to Gollum, for this is Silmarillion thread. Are you sure it is? ;) |
Ack! I'm afraid you're right.
It's from HoME X, but I seemed to recall that those words were included in the published Silmarillion - but now when I checked I see that that's not the case. Yet you guessed right - it was Feanor to Melkor. |
*plays fanfare :D
