I beleive the rules are to give a person a week to proceed and then it's up for grabs. And since it has been, definitely go on.

When dawn came dim the land was lost, The mountains sinking grey Beyond the heaving waves that tossed Their plumes of blinding spray Good luck! [ December 28, 2002: Message edited by: busybee ] |
Legolas singing of Nimrodel.

Both Bilbo and Frodo sang that.
Actually, only Frodo sang that exact part. Bilbo sang 'eager feet', Frodo said 'weary feet'. Your turn.
Thank you!
This is not exactly a quote of someone singing, but it fits: Quote:
A Elbereh Galadriel Gilthoniel!

didnt fingolfin sing that "against" sauron?
That is correct, Morgoth Bauglir.
Your turn. |
I'd like to revive this thread.

This is Gimli singing In Moria, in Kazad-dum.
Ya got it!
Great!
deep they delved us, fair they wrought us, high they builded us; but they are gone. |
I think thats from the Hobbit.
nope
It is part of the Riddle Game. Gollum said it.
Still no, but keep trying.
It sounds so familier to me. I don't think it is in the lotr, because I have checked all of the poems and songs(I have them all marked). But I have only read a little in the Silmarillion and Unfinished tales. Hmmmm . . . I will just have to find it.
It IS in LotR. The ground is singing/saying it about the elves that once lived there. Legolas heard it and told Aragorn and Gimli. That's all I remember off the top of my head.
You are quite right, hobbitlass. It is the ground/rocks of Hollin. Legolas is the one who sings it. Please, carry on.
Something sort of difficult.
Now call...., 'Come back..'! Here at...., His hands.... |
The second line does appear in one of Treebeard's songs.
It's been really long since anyone posted here, so I guess I will try to start it back up with a new song, These are all from the same song, but they might not be anywhere near each other,

Need any hints?
Narduewen, yours is from The Song of Nimrodel which Legolas sang in FotR.
Hobbitlass, yours was so hard! The dwarves sang it in The Hobbit (Chapter XV) about Thorin. Here is the whole verse of that song: Now call we over mountains cold, "Come back unto the caverns old!" Here at the Gates the king awaits, His hands are rich with gems and gold. |
That is correct for my song. You may proceed with the next quote.
Thank you, Narduewen.
Here is the next quote! Quote:

It's part of Sam's song in the tower of Cirith Ungol Quote:

Yes! Good job, Guinevere. That is also one of my favorites.
'Tis your turn. |
