It was Bombur in the hobbit but I am not entirely shure when. I think it was when they were crossing the river in mirkwood or when they were outside the lonely mountain and they were towing eachother up by the rope.

Yes, poor old Bombur, complaining! This was when they had to take the little boat to cross the black stream in Mirkwood. Bombur and Dwalin were instructed to cross last, by Thorin. Bombur was pretty much told to 'clam up', [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img] he would have to cross last because he was so fat, and needed to be in the last and lightest load.
