The destruction of Belegost? or Nogrod?

NightKnight 02-25-2004 03:20 AM

The dwarves lived there?

Gil-Galad 02-25-2004 04:34 PM

Thorongil is close but not close enough

luthien-elvenprincess 02-25-2004 05:27 PM

The Blue Mountains were split into two mountain ranges by the sea at the end of the First Age

Gil-Galad 02-25-2004 10:36 PM

Luthien read my mind, thats right! your go elven princess

luthien-elvenprincess 02-26-2004 07:22 PM

Chamber of Mazarbul

Thorongil 02-27-2004 02:11 AM

Frodo being stabbed?

Evisse the Blue 02-27-2004 04:53 AM

Or fiding Balin's grave?

luthien-elvenprincess 02-27-2004 06:44 AM

Evisse, you are close enough...I was thinking along the line of Balin's men fighting to the last in this chamber that contained Balin's tomb.
Your turn to step right up to the microphone!

Evisse the Blue 02-27-2004 01:58 PM

Thanks, luthien.:)

Frogmorton

luthien-elvenprincess 02-27-2004 02:30 PM

Frogmorton is the village in Eastfarthing where the hobbits were 'arrested' by the team of Shirriff's men.

Evisse the Blue 02-27-2004 03:09 PM

Yes, that's the event I had in mind, the hobbits' arrest.

luthien-elvenprincess 02-27-2004 10:16 PM

Bamfurlong

Gil-Galad 02-28-2004 10:36 PM

Maggot met Nazgul... umm....Maggot helped Hobbits...isn't it Barnfurlong? well whatever...3 dogs with names, 14 kids( )
can't think of very much.... Merry wasn't there when Pip,Sam and frodo were there

luthien-elvenprincess 02-29-2004 08:47 AM

Ok, OK, enough already, Gil!:D You got it. I was thinking about Farmer Maggot 'introducing' Frodo to his dogs after he caught Frodo stealing mushrooms.
No, Bamfurlong is correct.
Your turn at the grill:p

Gil-Galad 02-29-2004 10:01 AM

Woody Hall

Nirvana II 02-29-2004 11:14 AM

isnt it Wood hall....and thats where Gildor took Frodo,Sam and Pippin that night so'd they be safe from the Ulari right?

Gil-Galad 02-29-2004 08:22 PM

Its Woody Hall and thats not the event i'm looking for

Hint: first time Frodo met this type of elf

Nirvana II 02-29-2004 08:36 PM

Frodo first met a high Elf (or calaquendi, if ya wanna be picky about it)?

Gil-Galad 02-29-2004 08:37 PM

Close but no

Nirvana II 02-29-2004 08:39 PM

Gil-Galad 02-29-2004 08:41 PM

Your getting colder

Nirvana II 02-29-2004 08:42 PM

Noldor?Teleri?vanyar?Sindar?

Gil-Galad 02-29-2004 08:43 PM

good.. now go more in depth with those races

Nirvana II 02-29-2004 08:44 PM

how so? the differences?do i still get the question right?

Gil-Galad 02-29-2004 08:45 PM

Pick a race and describe its differences

Nirvana II 02-29-2004 08:47 PM

Vanyar- the Fair elves, none went back to ME Noldor-followed Feanor back to ME Teleri-some stayed, some went Sindar-the grey elves, they all stayed in ME,so are considered Avari

Gil-Galad 02-29-2004 08:48 PM

Straying off again... stick with Gildor and high elves, what did Gildor say?

Nirvana II 02-29-2004 09:05 PM

that he saw Bilbo twice?

Firefoot 02-29-2004 09:23 PM

I'm going to jump in here...is it that Frodo met an Elf of the House of Finrod?

Nirvana II 02-29-2004 09:26 PM

ah Firefoot, quit stealin my thunder. i havent gotten anything right at all yet. Do you feel the need to answer?

Firefoot 03-01-2004 06:07 AM

Yes, I get very competitive...it could be considered good or bad.;) But since you got most of it, I'll let you go if I get it right...you were the one who got it most of the way there.

Nirvana II 03-01-2004 06:18 AM

thanks FF and thank you Gil

the Sammath Naur you'll never get this one.

luthien-elvenprincess 03-01-2004 07:50 AM

At Sammath Naur...something to do with Frodo and the Ring or Isildur and the ring or Gollum and the ring...

Mariska Greenleaf 03-01-2004 07:54 AM

Shouldn't you all wait for Gil-Galad to confirm the right answer?

Thorongil 03-01-2004 07:55 AM

The eagles picking up Frodo & Sam?

The Saucepan Man 03-01-2004 07:59 AM

Please wait until Gil-Galad has confirmed whether Firefoot's answer is correct. If it is not, then that question remains open.

Nirvana II 03-01-2004 09:53 AM

ok

Gil-Galad 03-01-2004 04:58 PM

Firefoot is corect with the house of Finrod

Firefoot 03-01-2004 05:52 PM

Hmm, Sammath Naur is either going to be really obvious or tricky... I'll shoot for obvious. The ring was destroyed?
