I identify with Sauron the best. Beacause I want to take over the world.

Lush 12-28-2001 01:11 PM

Eeek! We should lock you up at once then! ...I'm actually quite curious about how one would feel after having taken over the world. Probably a little more than elated at first, but then the problems witll start: Keeping power, and keeping oneself from boredom (an ambitious person, having control of the world, will have nothing left to aspire to!). I wouldn't want Sauron's job.

Evil Anya 12-28-2001 02:51 PM

Glad to see so many women here! I think I probably identify with Frodo the most, I feel kind of alientated from everyone around me and I can't explain it, even to my friends. I feel very much like I will always be alone no matter who I am with. I also identify with Eowyn's sadness. However, when I'm in better spirits I feel like Pippin, if only because of being accident prone and having a love of beer.

Airetelluma 12-30-2001 08:50 PM

I'd have to go with Merry for myself, although I'd much rather be a lovely elf. Merry, though, was far more complicated than he originally seemed, which is definitely me. Plus, he seemed happy-go-lucky and dense at times most of the time, but he actually proved to be insightful and quite intelligent, which (I hope, at least) is me. Plus he's a fan of food, and is fallible, yet capable of doing great things. He was terrified of the Nazgul on the battlefield in Gondor and hid for a moment or two, yet managed to stab it. He had hidden courage, and that's something that I also believe I have.

Although there's also quite the Pippin in me; I tend to trip and spill things and say the wrong thing at the wrong time and make a general *** of myself. *grins*

Now that I've talked more about myself than anyone probably wanted to hear, I'll shut myself up. Oh, and hello! I'm new.

Hi. Don't worry I want to know about people. I don't know who i'm like though. But you can tell by my signature that i like Samwise.

Rose Cotton 12-30-2001 09:15 PM

From the amount of replies i've been getting i get the feeling that everyone has gone to sleep. So i should probably come back tomorow.See you than.

Ulmo 12-31-2001 09:33 AM

Gollum! Yes, definitely Gollum!

Samwise 12-31-2001 12:20 PM

LOL--Sam! (Surprise anyone?) I believe in loyalty to my friends, I'm a homebody (part Bilbo, maybe?) I prefer the quiet, and hey, though I'm not as good as Sam, I'm a GARDENER!

Well, even though we're rather spamming up the thread now, I've got a new quote, so it's all set. ^_~ To get this back on topic, err, I'm like Merry! XD *runs*

Lance 01-01-2002 08:48 PM

Hmm Aragorn, cause Im tall and courageous and well... maybe im just a fat Aragorn. LOL

Enkanowen 01-03-2002 03:33 AM

I'm a girl but I can identify most with Samwise Gamgee. He's loyal and would die for a friend. I am like that.

Pippin 01-03-2002 08:32 AM

Pippin o'course, cause I'm loyal, stubborn and seem to cause trouble a lot without meaning to....

Telepréion the Elf 01-04-2002 02:35 AM

Boromir as Narsil said is a human so I'd have to be him!

Samwise 01-04-2002 01:01 PM

Welcome, Teleprion! Haven't seen your name before!
(B'sides, I see you're Newly Deceased, so you must be new).
(BTW, below is yet another Haiku written on New Years' eve...)

Well, I really dont think that Im much like any of the charactors. Must of them have qualties that I have, and many have qualties that I wouldn't want to have. All in all I really dont know which one I identify with best. But I would love to be like Aragorn, a powerful, wise, and compassionate man.

Nevfan 01-09-2002 07:23 PM

I identify with all of them in some way, but mostly with the elves, and their knowledge and at the same time, especially with Legolas (my opinion) his naievity of the world, and at the same time (again my feelings) his childish nature but maturity and quick temper all at the same time.

Alkanoonion 01-10-2002 03:49 PM

I identify most with Legolas; He is Noble, proud and treats all the companions with love and respect. Also he is strong, clever and compassionate. Legolas represents all the things that I would like aspire to.

Samwise 01-10-2002 07:08 PM

Welcome, Alkanoonion.

Thanks for the greeting Samwise, I love this site.

Joy 02-04-2002 11:42 PM

I guess that I fell that I am most like Aragorn, even though I am a woman. The things that I see are:
 • When Strider is mending Frodo wounds after the stabbing in WeatherTop.
 • After Moria, Strider totes out Frodo with care, for fear that he is dead.
 • Mending Sam and Frodo's wounds after Moria
 • The Houses of Healing
 • His humilty when being crowned
 • His mercy towards the people
 • His strenght in battle
There are more that I could put, my best friends says that I match Aragorn to her more than any character. But I say that I am more like Pippin, I seem to say things at the wrong time, even though everything works out right, it seems awkward at the moment.

Callaedriel 02-05-2002 12:58 PM

I am not sure who i identify the most yet because i just started reading the Two Towers. I really like Legolas *blush* but i cant identify with him anyways. he s too perfect.

I would think i identify with pippin. even tho i m a woman becuase i always make mistakes. And i like beer.

And oh, Boromir, as well. Everyone one of us have flaws.

I feel alienated like Frodo
I (have been told) am loyal, like Sam
And slightly dim...like Pippin!

Samwise 02-05-2002 07:25 PM

Per Joy:
Quote:

Mending Sam and Frodo's wounds after Moria

The Houses of Healing

So then, Joy, are you in the medical profession?

Chica Bolger 02-05-2002 07:38 PM

I'm like Pippin, always seeming to get in trouble. And then I have Old Bilbo's sense of adventure, or maybe that's Frodo's... Well, I don't know, one of them.

*sighs* How I wish to go to Middle Earth...

No need to worry about anyone having my sig...

Actually no, I am a minister. I love to help people who are sick in body, mind or spirit. I have done counsulling many times, esp. young girls who have eating disorders or have been abused. I have even worked with several older women who have come from abusive relationships. All counsulling I have done has been for free. The Scripture says, "Freely you have received, freely give (Matt 10: 8).

Chica Bolger 02-06-2002 09:46 PM

Hello Sam, thanku

Nuinrog 02-06-2002 09:56 PM

I would be Fingolfin! Valiant, strong, and can lead a large group of people. I also like Noldor Elves because, well, they were the greatest Elves EVER! And challenging Morgoth takes guts. And injuring him 7 times and cutting his leg off is just badarse! I was kinda sad when he died though.

Dinagariel 02-07-2002 09:28 AM

I mostly identify with Legolas. He is compassionate, brave and loyal, but he also carries a sadness about what is happening to his world.
Plus I'd be quite happy to spend my days in Rivendell, Mirkwood or Lorien

Narya 02-07-2002 12:49 PM

I identify with Eowyn the most, but there´s also much of Pippin in me.
There´s something in almost every character that i identify with, but i think if i´d be someone from LoTR i would be Eowyn.i am a girl and in real life i often feel like her.
But i could compare myself with Frodo, too.

Glenethor 02-10-2002 12:04 AM

Gandalf the White. I have fought my own subterranean battles with my own internal Balrogs, and came out stronger. I don't like wielding power over others, but will do so if absolutely necessary. I don't think I can be bought, or seduced by power. I know more about how the world works than most, and I am still reasonably sane and compassionate. I have bushy eyebrows and twinkly blue eyes that can kindle in both mirth and anger. I also like my pipeweed...

Pips 02-10-2002 09:23 AM

Defenitly Frodo.

Lauralataiel 02-10-2002 01:15 PM

Probably Galadriel or Arwen?
