Oh,really?i thought the only time legolas ever take damage was when he fight bolg in DoS.:)anyway,yeah,the heroes are very overrated,while the soldiers and minor character,you know their fate;).

Over-rated isn't the right word. It depends upon the importance of the character as well. Gandalf dies fighting the Balrog, Frodo can not accomplish task (this is a debatable subject, and let's not get into it! ;)), Boromir dies too, Faramir is wounded too, �0‡7owyn gets a terrible wound, and so does Merry.

Yeah,i think it depends on the situation of the character.when its their time however,they pretty much stomps everything,even an enemy hundreds of time their sizes,like legolas(im just really hates the potrayal of legolas being an super-elves that can stomp anything except bolg:D)

Perhaps because he was a member of the Fellowship representing Elves, but wasn't developed in the books much. And PJ tried to give him his due. There's an article/or something explaining Legolas [13 TIMES] was the key factor in the victory in the movies or something like that.
