The second stage...

Yesterday, May 24, Mr. George Lashkhi wedded Ms. Tina Aladashvili in civil ceremony. It was a modest ceremony, with only bride and groom, their bestman and bridesmaid present. For it is but the first part of their wedding activities, as the 'real' wedding (in Church and stuff) will (hopefully, unless the embassy does not deny the entry) happen by the end of June in Paris.

But by all civil laws, H-I is now married man :D. He wears bright golden 'precious' round his finger and grins without a break happily (or, to an eye of a stranger, maybe even a bit sillily)

Like this :D

Mr. Istarion acknowledges he remained a geek, despite solid status of a married man he may boast of henceforward, as he persuaded Mrs. Istarion to join up BarrowDowns (mark this as as good an entry for 'top 10 signs you are addicted to BD' thread as any :D) after Sacral Ceremony, in Paris, as her wedding gift to him.

PS I will link you to pics as soon as I upload some

Anguirel 05-25-2005 01:02 AM

Congratulations, HerenIstarion. May you have broods of children indoctrinated ridiculously early in the ways of Tolkien and introduced to "death" in short order, as their mother has been...

Child of the 7th Age 05-25-2005 01:48 AM

Heren,

This is quite wonderful, and may I be among the first to welcome Mrs. (Ms.?) Istarion to the fold.

Saurreg 05-25-2005 02:13 AM

Warmest congratulations!

Ah, how wonderful on both counts, current marital status and future membership! I am so happy for you both. And in the meanwhile, I will be hoping that the trip to Paris goes without a hitch...and also, when getting hitched in Paris you don't trip. ;)

Blessings on you both! May it be a long, happy and productive alliance. :)

dancing spawn of ungoliant 05-25-2005 04:29 AM

How wonderful, congratulations! Best wishes to you both!

Mithalwen 05-25-2005 06:11 AM

Oooh so romantic!! Which church in Paris?

Lalwendë 05-25-2005 06:21 AM

Congratulations! :D

I trust the planning for the Paris stage of the great event has gone well, as that must have taken some organising - speaking as one who grows daily more perplexed by all the stuff which must be done to prepare for a celebration!

Estelyn Telcontar 05-25-2005 06:23 AM

Congratulations to the two of you! May you have many happy hours/days/months/years together, both here and elsewhere!

C'est raison d'être du pêle-mêle - c'est pas décidé jusqu'à ce jour. Je croix que une église orthodoxe situé 26, rue de Sartrouville. Peut-être une église Ukrainien (Vladimir-Le-Grand), je sais pas.

I'm as perplexed happy married man as any you would wish to entrust something that should be done by a sober steel-nerved unhappy divorsed man with! (I'm not myself sure what I did just say, but well... the claim of perplexity should be lived up to! :D)

Mithalwen 05-25-2005 06:51 AM

Feanor of the Peredhil 05-25-2005 06:53 AM

Aww Heren, that's so wonderful! Does that mean that the bandana fan-club has to stop stalking you? ;)

No... In all seriousness, I'm so happy for you. I'm even more happy than I was this morning when my best friend brought me breakfast. I'm even more happy than I was yesterday when I walked into my public library and spotted a book I've been waiting months to read. May your lives be forever blessed with love and affection, and may Mrs. Istarion soon come to the site under her own name and read this all and smile.

Not at all, not at all... we want to keep Mrs. Istarion in good fighting shape, don't we? :p

And in all seriousness, thank you dears :) I'm really really glad to have so much reaction to the event :D

Oddwen 05-25-2005 01:58 PM

Sincerest congratulations, HI. :D

Whew...

Congratulations, Heren; I'm very happy for you. May you have many lovely years together! I hope to see Lady Istarion popping by the forums in the future...

Orominuialwen 05-25-2005 03:32 PM

Felicitations!

Firefoot 05-25-2005 04:21 PM

Too bad I don't know French...

Anyway, congrats, H-I! My best wishes to you and Mrs. Istarion.

With my spelling, believe me, sir, I seriously doubt it would help you.

The Saucepan Man 05-25-2005 05:27 PM

Congrats and all that, HI, old chap.

Bêthberry 05-25-2005 07:30 PM

Live long and prosper! Oh, sorry, wrong fantasy. :D

May the years bless you, even unto your eleventy--(elventy?)--first anniversary. :smokin:

Does Mrs. Istarion RPG? May I suggest you introduce her to The Shire and Rohan when she registers? :)

HerenIstarion 05-27-2005 02:41 PM

It is better to see than to hear of...

This specimen of Homo Istarionus was ringed in Transcaucasia by Prof Tina Z. Aladashvili on May, 24, 2005. Please, do not feed, do not hunt and return if found...

Or...

...and he smiled happily ever after...

Not to abuse BD bandwidth, see some more at: http://www.geocities.com/gl_century/...l/wedding.html

Of course, more to follow from Paris :D

mark12_30 05-27-2005 02:46 PM

Congratulations, Roggie!!

Since the site you link to has already exceeded its bandwidth-- OOO, ALL THAT SWOONING-- I shall have to check back later.

Bcebo Xopowebo.

Estelyn Telcontar 05-28-2005 06:49 AM

Thanks for the link to those pictures, HI! You look very happy indeed, and understandably so - Mrs. Istarion is lovely!

Hilde Bracegirdle 05-28-2005 07:17 AM

I would second that! Thanks for sharing the pictures of the handsome and happy couple, or rather the giving of rings in action!

Hmm, I wonder if Prof. Tina Lashkhi might be able to give us a full account of Alatar and Pallando after say 5 years of study…. ;)

Anguirel 05-28-2005 07:24 AM

Allow me to third the motion of your wife's loveliness.

She could also help us with the nature of Saruman's ring...I hope you didn't use it for the wedding??

Evisse the Blue 05-28-2005 03:28 PM

I'm a bit late to this show but still that won't stop me from holding a banner that reads:
Congratulations to Me and Mrs Lashkhi for exchanging vows! And for giving each other such unique wedding gifts. ; )

You both look very happy and in love in those pics. May that happiness last a lifetime. :)

I'm looking forward as well to meeting your wife's ghoulish alter ego on the Downs. By the way, Introduce her to the Canonicity thread on her first visit, will you? (Joking! :D )

Encaitare 05-28-2005 09:56 PM

Lovely pics... you two look so happy! Congrats again.

Nimrodel_9 06-01-2005 06:39 PM

Congrats HI! I hope you will still have time to visit us often. ;)

Nurumaiel 06-01-2005 09:27 PM

All my congratulations and best wishes. May all your days be filled with joy! And please do pass along my congratulations and greetings to your lovely bride.

Feanor of the Peredhil 06-08-2005 05:30 PM

And now I've finally been on a computer that simultaniously has internet access and doesn't have a firewall between myself and any interesting websites, and I must say, Heren, that Mrs. Istarion is beautiful. But the real question, it must be said, is who, oh who, is that man in black? ;)

All joking aside, the two of you look brilliantly in love and I give you all the blessings I possess. Congratulations, and enjoy the fun that I hear marriage is.

alatar 06-13-2005 08:43 PM

Congratulations and welcome to Marriedhood! (which, be it known, is only exceeded in joy by Parenthood).

If you've haven't already, write down the little things that happened on your (plural) day as you will need to remember these when you are reciting the 'legend of when you'd wed.' Plus always remember the day, as when those bad days happen to show up (and they will, now and again), think back to the day and how beautiful your bride is, and why you got married, and why you should let go and just listen. Anyway...

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary today in style - chicken sandwiches and French fries (chips?) on the porch while we watched our three children play in the sprinkler.

But it was grande, as we are still in love, and we love being with our family, and that is enough for anyone.

Again, congratulations, and may you be happy the rest of your days.

Bêthberry 07-05-2005 05:40 PM

Second Breakfast

Well, HI, I see you are online, and so, the big question is, will you be entertaining us with pictures of Paris?

I can't imagine finding anything about Tolkien or Middle earth there, yet I do recall that there are some links with early Celtic legends. :)

It was for a brief spell I visited last week, but now we're back, and yours truly is satisfied to be placed in his office chair once more, what with amount of slacking he did carry out this morn, with one thing and another, retelling anecdotes of his and his spouse's journey, showing photoes and sporting new black'n'brown tie he acquired in Koln (well, it's cheaper than in Paris, don't look at me! And the colours a way more sensible than current french fashion for gaudible ties, yes, sir!) along with cocoa shaded pants which suit him well ;)

There is enourmous amount of photoes (539 to be precise, oh those modern digital cameras!) which presents quite a task of picking up selected few to place on the web page, and than another task of arranging them. I hope to have job done reasonably fast, though.

Meanwhile, let the dining room proudly present... eh, I mean, that's the effects of visiting Disneyland for you... let me proudly introduce you to Mrs. Istarion:

PS. I know, I know, there already are photoes of us two up there, but I simply like this one very much :D

cheers

Saurreg 07-11-2005 05:17 AM

Welcome back.

I see a Mrs. Istarion. Could it be...

Mrs. Istarion 07-11-2005 05:32 AM

um... yes

It could :), my husband finally persuaded me to join this forum, so hi everybody, I am Mrs. Istarion, all right :D

And is glad he did :D

So, I were not joking, ladies and gentlemen, in my previous...

I'm immensely proud to have my lady meet my friends, and vice versa

Only thing left, than, is to explain to Mrs. Istarion who that Tolkein character was...

Hush, hush, I'm only joking :D, Mrs. Istarion does know who Tolkien was. Among other interesting things yours truly spotted on her bookshelf when being guest at her house for the first time was Silmarillion. Just it was Russian edition, and we should work on reading originals henceforward, as we both are proud BD members now :)

Mithalwen 07-11-2005 06:12 AM

Welcome,

And many congratulations!

I am sure you could not have avoided learning about Tolkien :D

Mithalwen.

Saurreg 07-11-2005 06:42 AM

Welcome to the downs ma'am.

Feanor of the Peredhil 07-11-2005 06:43 AM

Welcome Mrs. Istarion, and welcome back Heren. It's so awesome to see (even if only in pictures) two people so genuinely happy to be together.
