Tuor of Gondolin 07-29-2004 06:11 PM

A bit of clarification needed. Is the last letter above "n" or "o"?

(Lorien or Irmo).

The Perky Ent 07-29-2004 06:16 PM

the last letter is n! I just to the appositive phrase to clarify to make sure it's right. Sorry for the confusion!

Tuor of Gondolin 07-29-2004 06:29 PM

Great. That's what I thought it probably was. So what about:

Night Of The Void

(Of course, "Night Of The Void" is as much the lack of being a place as a place, but it sure isn't in Middle-earth).

The Perky Ent 07-29-2004 06:33 PM

Dor Firn-i-Guinar, land of the dead that live ;)

symestreem 07-29-2004 09:07 PM

Are you counting Beleriand as Middle-earth?

Encaitare 07-29-2004 09:15 PM

The Perky Ent 07-29-2004 09:49 PM

No, you don't need the ë! Rána, a name for the moon

Morsul the Dark 07-29-2004 09:55 PM

Atalante(double dot that e) Its another name for numenor so is it still valid since numenor has been said?

Tuor of Gondolin 07-29-2004 10:39 PM

Umm. This gets a bit tricky, may need The Saucepan Man to arbitrate.
1--- "Probably" Beleriand is part of Middle-earth, but it could be too complicated to negate the above guess, and Beleriand after the First Age (mostly) isn't.
2--- "Rana" was used before.
3--- I believe various names for something/someone should be allowed.

Perhaps a solution is not to allow more Beleriand references, to ignore double Rana use, and continue??????????

Agreed.

Beleriand was part of Middle-earth before it sunk.

Please try to spot the double use of words, since the previous last letter should remain open. Otherwise it's unfair on the previous poster who might otherwise be able to claim victory.

And, yes, alternative names are allowed, since this gives the game more scope ...

... which allows me to post Narrow Ice, another name for the Helcaraxe.
