The rohirric royal family probably...I think I know the answer, and I have known it all the time. I just don't wanna ask a new question here. ;)

Yes rohirric is the correct answer, almost ;) . But your right I'm referring to the rohirric royal family.

Gil-Galad 03-01-2004 05:00 PM

Something makes me think Grimbold

Estanesse 03-02-2004 07:16 AM

That makes sense but I have someone else in mind.

Hint: Number 105, 120, 15, 12

Finwe 03-02-2004 09:35 AM

Elfhelm, was it?

Estanesse 03-02-2004 10:10 AM

Nope

luthien-elvenprincess 03-02-2004 05:27 PM

Garulf?

symestreem 03-03-2004 03:02 PM

Is it Gimli? The left behind in darkness part reminds me of Gimli's "an elf will go underground where a dwarf will not?"

Estanesse 03-03-2004 03:41 PM

Garulf is my name. :)

NightKnight 03-03-2004 04:31 PM

It took you people very long...I took it when I first saw it. :p

luthien-elvenprincess 03-03-2004 04:44 PM

Wow, that was a tough one! Garulf was one of the 12 men who died and therefore was 'left behind in darkness' his horse was given to Aragorn (who was in need of speed).

My turn:
An answer for Yavanna,
For a short, no glossal gift.
Blossoms and bluegrass became my forte
Perchance, I'm shopping for a lotion to assuage my arid periderm?

Gil-Galad 03-03-2004 07:14 PM

I'm out... too many big words.... hard to understand... head hurts... wrestling is painful... who knew snow was cold?

Finwe 03-03-2004 09:55 PM

Ents? Treebeard? Entwives?

rutslegolas 03-04-2004 08:45 AM

celeborn

its just a guess and maybe far off target
:smokin:

luthien-elvenprincess 03-04-2004 03:24 PM

Finwe, you are correct with the Entwives.

My husband thinks that when I go to the mall, that I may never come home, cuz I take so long (just his ridiculous little opinion:rolleyes:). Therefore, I always wonder if the missing entwives just got lost at the mall shopping for lotion (since their skin/bark was so rough).

Oh well... anyway.... your turn..

Finwe 03-04-2004 05:26 PM

Ahhhh... riiiiight...

Swift are we,
Silent are we,
Scary are we,
Faithless are we.

Gil-Galad 03-04-2004 05:28 PM

The Dead men of Dunharrow? that would seem the obvious anwser no?

The Perky Ent 03-04-2004 05:29 PM

Um...i don't know. How about...um....how about the undead from the paths of the dead that aragorn summoned?

Gil-Galad 03-04-2004 05:32 PM

sorry perky ent, i got to the same anwser first

Sleepy Ranger 03-04-2004 05:33 PM

Thats waht Gil-galad said.
Anyway is it The Nazgul?

Gil-Galad 03-04-2004 05:35 PM

You would think the NAzgul would be faithful to Sauron?

Sleepy Ranger 03-04-2004 06:00 PM

Please people no mor off-topic posts. And wouldn't it be wise to delete our posts ere some big evil cruel overload comes and crushes us?

The Perky Ent 03-04-2004 06:04 PM

There! I deleted all my bickering posts! Happy?

The Saucepan Man 03-05-2004 08:49 AM

And I have deleted the rest.

Please folks, this is a Quiz Room not a Chat Room, so please stick to the game.

Finwe 03-05-2004 10:01 AM

Gil-galad got it. It was the Dead Men of Dunharrow.

Arvedui III 03-13-2004 09:46 AM

*Bump*

Gil-Galad?

Gil-Galad 03-13-2004 11:58 AM

woah my bad forgot about this thread...

Went to the mountains
Fought with the horn in his ears
Rode to the fields
His name is a trait of his
leading the one of the third

Who am I?

Finwe 03-13-2004 12:02 PM

Boromir?

Gil-Galad 03-13-2004 12:03 PM

nope! and please give explanations!

luthien-elvenprincess 03-13-2004 12:14 PM

Helm Hammerhand.
The Rohirrim went to the mountains for safety when their land was invaded by Dunlendings. Helm had a great horn and sounded it going to battle. Well...the men of Rohan rode to battle because they were Horse-lords. Hammerhand was the name given him because on his ability to kill with one blow of his fist.

Gil-Galad 03-13-2004 04:17 PM

nope! close! but nope!

The Perky Ent 03-13-2004 06:20 PM

Pippin? Because he went to the misty mts. and fought with boromir, then he rode to pelenor fields? It's wrong, but it's still a guess!

Gil-Galad 03-13-2004 11:00 PM

Nope! close! but nope!

Hint: its a man

The Perky Ent 03-14-2004 07:56 AM

Aragorn, he went to the Dwimorberg, fought with Boromir with the horn is his ears, fought at Pelenor, and....i can't figure out the last part, but oh well :(

Gil-Galad 03-14-2004 01:44 PM

nope!getting colder!

symestreem 03-14-2004 01:53 PM

Eomer? He fought at Helm's Deep; he led one of the three eoreds at Pelennor.

Finwe 03-14-2004 01:53 PM

It's Eomer.

Went to the mountains (when defending Helm's Deep)

Fought with the horn in his ears (the last charge at Helm's Deep, when the horn of Helm Hammerhand was blowing)

Rode to the fields (rode to the Battle of the Pelennor Fields)

His name is a trait of his (his name means "horse-famous" and he was indeed famous)

leading the one of the third (he was one of the three Marshals of the Riddermark and during the Battle of the Pelennor Fields, was one of the three "forces" who penned the Orcs in and slaughtered them; the others were Aragorn and the Grey Company from the quays and Imrahil and his Knights from Minas Tirith itself)

Gil-Galad 03-14-2004 01:54 PM

Close! but nope!

Gil-Galad 03-14-2004 01:57 PM

Super hint: part of this persons name goes with bringer of death

symestreem 03-15-2004 06:31 PM

Grimbold! Actually, we don't know if he fought at Helm's Deep; he is first mentioned in ROTK. He did fight at Helm's Deep, and he led one of the three eoreds.
