Lindolirian 08-01-2004 09:39 PM

Oh silly me, I had forgotten all about it.

Where is Girdley Island?

The Perky Ent 08-01-2004 09:41 PM

In the middle of the Branduin River, 10 miles north of the Bridge of Stonebones

Lindolirian 08-01-2004 09:45 PM

Yeah, and I have a little house on it. :D

The Perky Ent 08-01-2004 09:47 PM

Do you know? :D Anyways, what is Sarn Athrad?

Lindolirian 08-01-2004 09:48 PM

The Ford of Stones in, I think, the River Ascar near Nan Elmoth.

The Perky Ent 08-01-2004 09:49 PM

Good try, but nope

Lindolirian 08-01-2004 09:51 PM

Yeah I just checked myself, it's pretty far from Nan Elmoth(hmmm), but it is close to Ascar, however it actually crosses Gelion at the Dwarf Road.

I was originally thinking of Arossiach which crosses the Aros, so I got Ascar and Aros confused... Woe is me.

Nilpaurion Felagund 08-01-2004 10:56 PM

Sarn Athrad...

...or Sarn Ford is the ford on Baranduin for those passing through the Númenorean North-South road.

The Perky Ent 08-02-2004 11:28 AM

No, Lindolirian got it right. Sorry Nilpaurion ;)

Lindolirian 08-17-2004 09:02 PM

Blast! I forgot another thread!
How many miles was the Bindbale Wood from Annuminas?

Tuor of Gondolin 08-24-2004 07:55 PM

About 150 miles?

luthien-elvenprincess 08-25-2004 04:22 AM

around 90 miles

luthien-elvenprincess 09-06-2004 06:50 PM

Lindo?????

NightKnight 09-07-2004 08:34 AM

Lindo is quite busy at the moment, and unable to get on, so anyone can have this thread.

Nanedhel 09-20-2004 09:09 PM

I will give it a try.

What is the westernmost of the beacons of Gondor?

NightKnight 09-21-2004 12:37 PM

Halifirien?

Nanedhel 09-21-2004 04:10 PM

You got it, NightKnight

NightKnight 09-22-2004 09:36 AM

Where was Angrenost?

Nilpaurion Felagund 09-23-2004 01:10 AM

Near the Gap of Rohan, at the end of the Misty Mountain Range?

NightKnight 09-23-2004 10:48 AM

Yup. :)

Nilpaurion Felagund 09-27-2004 12:39 AM

Thanks.

How many islands were on Sirion?

NightKnight 09-27-2004 01:04 PM

First we've got the big Tol Sirion, then I guess some smaller ones at Aelin-Uial, and then some more sandy islands at the delta...

Nilpaurion Felagund 09-27-2004 08:04 PM

Oh.

Stupid question. I forgot Aelin-uial.
Although technically, the deltaic deposits at the mouths of Sirion are not islands.

It's yours, anyway.

NightKnight 09-29-2004 11:54 PM

Thanks.

Whose grave lay between Rohan and Gondor?

Nilpaurion Felagund 09-30-2004 12:02 AM

Elendil's . . .

. . . but it was relocated soon thereafter, as Halifirien was no longer the middle of the South Kingdom.

NightKnight 09-30-2004 12:30 AM

Yep. :)

Nilpaurion Felagund 09-30-2004 01:01 AM

Thanks!

From which mountain/s does Gelion originate?

NightKnight 09-30-2004 08:44 AM

Himring and Rerir?

Nilpaurion Felagund 10-01-2004 03:39 AM

Hmmm . . .

A-yup! :smokin:

NightKnight 10-02-2004 09:58 AM

What is the waterfall in Ithilien that Faramir shows Frodo and Sam called?

luthien-elvenprincess 10-02-2004 05:09 PM

IS it called the "Curtain"?

Boromir88 10-02-2004 05:52 PM

Hennuth Annun, which is also called "The Curtain" but just in case if you were looking for either. :)

NightKnight 10-03-2004 10:44 AM

Luthien, your turn. :)

luthien-elvenprincess 10-05-2004 04:31 PM

What waterway would I cross to get from the 'Hill of the Eye' to the 'Hill of the Ear'?

NightKnight 10-06-2004 12:22 AM

The Anduin, or more precisely Nen Hithoel.

luthien-elvenprincess 10-06-2004 04:44 PM

of course! your turn :)

NightKnight 10-07-2004 12:05 AM

In what mountain range was Dolmed?

Nilpaurion Felagund 10-07-2004 12:21 AM

The Blue!

*chuckles* The Blue . . .
Not you, Evisse. ;)

NightKnight 10-07-2004 11:04 AM

Yes, yes, indeed. And unknowingly of this thread, I just called Evisse "blue one" in another thread. ;)

Nilpaurion Felagund 10-07-2004 10:27 PM

Meteorologically speaking, to which region does Nevrast belong to?
