I was thinking that places were people were living would be created...buildings and such, and of course even the natural landscapes seem to have been messed with, such as mountains being raised and such....

THIS IS NOT A CRAZY CONCEPT.

It works just like a forest does. You can touch/see/feel individual trees. They are there. But "forest" is a made-up word (almost a concept!) that is used to group all the trees that stand in a bunch. Now there could be other made up words grouping other things, can't there?

Well, it's a race of people, and they are as natural as any animal... And "alive" just like a forest could be.

Well, I suppose its all a matter of opinion...I would consider elves (as a group) alive but divisions within them, such as Noldor, Vanyar, Moriquendi, ect artificial concepts, created by the elves, much the same as say brands of electronics....

Thanks...I'm just glad I got some pictures of them while they were still healthy. According to the vet, they had some hereditary disease that kept them from digesting food...:(

So sorry about the kittens. My first kitten died at 12 weeks. It was horrible. :( The next one lasted 18 years though....

And thank you about the kittens...you think I'd be used to it by now, as we live out in the country, and we get all kinds of stray/dropped off pregnant cats, whose kittens end up dying because the mother was sick...at least this year, we've only lost 3, last summer we lost a dozen because some wild animal got into the barn where the strays were and attacked them...that was horrible. :(
