Tuor in Gondolin 07-20-2010 11:05 AM

Fortunately Mandos found Ungoliant (could that be
why she died?)

Blind Guardian 07-20-2010 12:29 PM

UnFortunately Melkor found the cure.

Edit: didn't see there was another post.

Tuor in Gondolin 08-09-2010 09:35 PM

Fortunately, the cure involved Melkor
becoming coach to the orcish soccer team
The Thangorodrim Thrashers (who made it to
the finals of the Beleriand Cup).

TheGreatElvenWarrior 08-10-2010 11:30 AM

Unfortunately, football was banned in Arda.

Glirdan 08-10-2010 11:43 AM

Fortunately, soccer was not :p

TheGreatElvenWarrior 08-10-2010 11:46 AM

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), all sport was then banned by Eru himself.

Lindale 08-10-2010 11:51 AM

Fortunately, the athletes of Arda under Tulkas' leadership went on a strike.

TheGreatElvenWarrior 08-10-2010 11:54 AM

Unfortunately, this led to a shortage of food and pretty much everything else since the athletes of Arda did most manual labour.

Lindale 08-10-2010 11:57 AM

Fortunately, Yavanna came along with a big basket of goodies.

TheGreatElvenWarrior 08-10-2010 11:59 AM

Unfortunately, the basket of goodies was filled with lice.

Eönwë 08-10-2010 01:40 PM

Fortunately, the lice tasted nice with rice.

Glirdan 08-10-2010 05:34 PM

Unfortunately (for Eonwe at least :p) rhyming was banned.

Fortunately Eonwe changed his name to Steve, and then rhyming was compulsory.

Tuor in Gondolin 08-10-2010 07:11 PM

Unfortunately, I've noticed a tendency for this thread to get rather silly. Now I do my best to keep things moving along, but I'm not having things getting silly. Those two last posts got very silly indeed, and that last one was even sillier. Now, nobody likes a good laugh more than I do...except perhaps my wife and some of her friends...oh yes and Captain Johnston. Come to think of it most people like a good laugh more than I do. But that's beside the point. Now, let's have a good clean healthy thread. Get some air into your lungs. Ten, nine, eight and all that.

That's all. Carry on.

Oh, and keep watching the skies for any blancmanges coming from the planet Skyron in the Galaxy of Andromeda.

TheGreatElvenWarrior 08-10-2010 08:31 PM

Fortunately, since nobody could really put a proper response to that last post, there was a great confusion in which Aragorn was crowned King.

Lindale 08-11-2010 11:02 AM

Unfortunately, he was crowned in Edoras not in Minas Tirith.

Vilvarine 08-11-2010 12:49 PM

Unfortunately, when everybody got a great and happy life with love and happiness, and when Melkor and Sauron were defeated (because at the end they were very good friends except the fact that they were fighting for Barad-dur tower ), Eru Iluvatar, the master of all living and not- living, says to all Valars that this was the song, which predicts the future of the happening and all of this is about to happen in the close years... or centuries.. or whatever you like!

Can't understand the last statement. O_O

Fortunately, most of his people migrated to Rohan at the time of his Coronation.

Lindale 08-19-2010 10:24 AM

Unfortunately, the Rohirrim didn't want the Dunedain to migrate to Rohan.

Finrod Felagund 08-19-2010 11:43 PM

Fortunately, the Dunedain prevailed and drove the Rohirrim away.

Glirdan 08-20-2010 01:07 AM

Unfortunately, in their attempt in running the Rohirrim out of Rohan, the legions of Mordor gained control of Minas Tirith and were advancing upon Lothlorien.

Finrod Felagund 08-20-2010 02:05 AM

Fortunately, Galadriel and the other Elves were having a feast in Lothlorien so they were prepared for an attack.

Lindale 08-25-2010 11:38 AM

Unfortunately everyone was drunk.

Glirdan 08-28-2010 12:31 PM

Fortunately, this included the legions of Mordor.

Diamond18 10-22-2010 08:36 PM

Unfortunately, the Legions of Mordor are all High Functioning Alcoholics, while the Elves are not used to being drunk at all, and thus not nearly as good at it.

Tuor in Gondolin 10-23-2010 12:12 PM

Fortunately the orcs got into a drinking game, taking
a drink every time someone said "elves" and drank
themselves into a stupor.

elronds_daughter 10-31-2010 11:33 AM

Unfortunately, stupor-drunk orcs are really friendly.

Tuor in Gondolin 10-31-2010 03:35 PM

Fortunately, stupor-drunk orcs only chase
valley girl (Morgul Vale) orc lasses.

Galadriel55 11-01-2010 05:27 AM

Unfortunately, tey chased them right into Galadhen.

Meneltarmacil 05-23-2012 12:22 AM

Fortunately, this thread was revived and picked up with them crashing into Galadriel who was bathing at the time.

Galadriel55 05-23-2012 05:23 AM

Unfortunately, Celeborn happened to be away in Mirkwood at the moment.

Boromir88 05-23-2012 05:49 AM

Fortunately, all things must come to an end. By reviving a thread that was well passed it's time and expiration date, it caused a rip (or inconsistancy if you will) in the fabric of time, or in the Music. The only way to set everything right again (or else the world would have plunged into total chaos), was for Eru Iluvatar to hit the reset button and start at the very beginning. Thus...Gimli finally found something to eat.

(Wow...I think that is the most convoluted fortunately conclusion I've stumbled into  )

Meneltarmacil 05-23-2012 10:54 AM

Unfortunately, it was poisoned.

Galadriel55 05-23-2012 03:29 PM

Fortunately, the local wizard had a spare bezoar and, despite the fiction world barriers, did not mind lending it to the dwarf.

Meneltarmacil 05-23-2012 05:29 PM

Unfortunately, bezoars have an unfortunate side effect on dwarves, and Gimli was turned into an Oliphaunt.

MCRmyGirl4eva 05-23-2012 06:09 PM

Fortunately, the hare escaped being eaten, and scampered safely away down the west bank of the Anduin

Galadriel55 05-23-2012 08:23 PM

Unfortunately, hares scare the tusks off oliphaunts, so Gimli, who was standing right by the hare when it ran, fled in a mad fear in the direction of Minas Tirith, leaving destruction in his path.

Glirdan 05-23-2012 09:25 PM

Fortunately, Minas Tirith had been magically transported, and Gimil scampered way down south and caused destruction there.

Meneltarmacil 05-23-2012 09:52 PM

Unfortunately, he angered the Haradrim who started attacking the Lonely Mountain in revenge.

Glorthelion 05-24-2012 12:21 AM

Fortunately the Lonely Mountain was prepared for such an attack.
