I recounted the votes from yesterday and I received the same numbers, so nothing is going to change. Besides I don't think it makes much of a diference since Celebrian is gone today anyway.

Chrysophylax Dives - 2
Elbereth - 1
Goldberry - 5
Gloin - 1
Celebrian - 9

The villagers have decided and Celebrian is the one to be lynched today!

The angry viallgers grabbed the she-elf and roughly dragged her towards the gallows. They tied the rope around her neck and pulled the lever. Suddenly confetti sprang up from all around.

"Oops, wrong lever." the villager said, then he pulled the right one.

Celebrian's neck snapped, and she didn't transform. They had lynched an ord.

I think I miss modding Werewolf to much. :rolleyes:

You may now start voting.

NOTE:
Since the end is approaching, I've been thinking how I want the final 3 to work (or is it final 2?). I thought that instead of having you vote for who you want to have win in the thread, you could PM the name of who you want to win. Then I could post the results. This would give more surprise, and suspense, no one would know who the winner is. :eek: If you all think this is a terrible idea, and you want to do it the traditional way, just say so and it will be done. :D

Glirdan 08-28-2006 12:13 PM

Ooooo! I like!! I vote

++PM!!

(You think you miss Werewolf!? Try having to get a game started up again!! :eek: )

And my vote to cast out will be,

++Gloin

He's still in and he's still useless!!

The Only Real Estel 08-28-2006 12:16 PM

Sounds like a cool idea - I'll go with what the majority wants.

In the meantime I'm nothing if I don't keep my promises*:

++ Goldberry

*not that that usually stops me ;) :D

Volo 08-28-2006 12:39 PM

Sounds fine, at least better than
++Goldberry
A promise is a promise, even if it's a promise to morm.

mormegil 08-28-2006 12:51 PM

++Goldberry

Sounds too much like goldberg

Firefoot 08-28-2006 02:02 PM

It seems that justice shall finally be done today! :D

Boromir88 08-28-2006 02:06 PM

Blueberries are much more delicious.

Macalaure 08-28-2006 02:12 PM

What's the first which comes to mind when you read '5-1'?

Right...

++Gloin

Those dwarves need to go anyway.

Bêthberry 08-28-2006 02:38 PM

Please don't get rid of Goldberry. :) cuz if you do, you'll have ME to deal with. :mad:

Firefoot 08-28-2006 03:40 PM

At least Gloin actually does some interesting things. Goldberry keeps house. :rolleyes:

Everyone else ok with this?

shieldmaiden4xsword 08-28-2006 04:23 PM

Thank you very much, Boromir!!! :D

Yes, I am fine with it. :)

Sounds like a good reason to do anything...

Besides, I suppose Firefoot has twisted in the wind long enough.

The Saucepan Man 08-28-2006 05:32 PM

I'm gonna wash that girl right outta my hair. :D

+ + GOLDBERRY

I mean, she got caught by a dodgy bloke with a blue shirt, yellow boots and a feather in his hat and spent the rest of her time doing his washing and listening to his excruciating verse. It doesn't speak well of her, I'm afraid.

Anyone who enjoys Tom Bombadil's singing, or at least doesn't try to stop it, has to go. :D

Meneltarmacil 08-28-2006 07:24 PM

++Gloin

He's useless! Useless I say! So he helped a little on the Quest, but so did most of the other random Dwarves. And he fathered Gimli, but that doesn't mean much either as we don't generally keep people like Arathorn or the Gaffer around much.

littlemanpoet 08-28-2006 07:32 PM

Gloin

Never minded Goldberry much. Nice, dutiful wife who knows her place and all..... :p

The Only Real Estel 08-28-2006 07:47 PM

Psst, nobody tell lmp his vote is missing the "++s" so his vote won't count! ;) :p

The 1,000 Reader 08-28-2006 10:17 PM

++Gloin.

As far as we know, Goldberry has some spiritual thing going on, and being the possible daughter of Ulmo, she may influence the waters of Middle-Earth. Also, she liked Tom, and wasn't beaten over the head with a club and dragged off. Therefore, we have no idea what powers she might have. Gloin on the other hand, didn't really do much that to stand out.

Diamond18 08-28-2006 11:31 PM

+ + Goldberry

No woman in her right mind would actually want to be married to Tom.

Quote:

No, I fear that the tally was correct, Diamond. You missed Thin's vote for Durin.
Wha....? *digs handwritten vote tally out of garbage* Frick... I wrote her vote down there but somehow it didn't make it to the typed version. See, this is why I never do those fancy schmany vote tallies for WW games. ;)

It always baffled me too. An old geezer like Tom should have a stout, twinkly wife, with greying hair, sleeves rolled up and flour on her elbows. Not some ethereal blonde flitting around. It's undignfied for all concerned, like Donald Trump or Rod Stewart, ageing bores with trophy wives...bleugh. Off with her.

But one day Tom, he went and caught the River-
daughter,
in green gown, flowing hair, sitting in the rushes,
singing old water-songs to birds upon the bushes.

He caught her, held her fast! Water-rats went scuttering
reeds hissed, herons cried, and her heart was fluttering.
Said Tom Bombadil: 'Here's my pretty maiden!
You shall come home with me! The table is all laden:
yellow cream, honeycomb, white bread and butter;
roses at the window-sill and peeping round the shutter.
You shall come under Hill! Never mind your mother
in her deep weedy pool: there you'll find no lover!'
True, no beating with a club, but that looks like being dragged off to me...

And lmp: :p

Lalaith 08-29-2006 04:26 AM

Good heavens, Celuien, that is dreadful. He's no better than Ar-Pharazon himself.

Poor Goldberry, she needs to get off the island as soon as possible and into the hands of a good psychiatrist, to sort out her Stockholm Syndrome.

Just because...

wilwarin538 08-29-2006 12:58 PM

The votes ta the end of the day are:

Gloin - 9
Goldberry - 11

Goldberry is the character who has been voted out today!

After being voted for many times Goldberry expected this coming. So before the votes were tallied Goldberry ran away, before anything terrible could befall her. Though, she was never heard from again so something terrible probably befell her anyway.

Thus ends day 22!

meh... might as well end the silmarillion's reign

++Elbereth

Macalaure 08-29-2006 01:43 PM

I don't think so.

Why don't we keep one out of each group for the final five?

I'm fine with the eviction of any out of Gimli, Hama, Smaug or Gloin.

JennyHallu 08-29-2006 01:52 PM

++Hama

If he hadn't been the doorguard, someone else would have. Why should he be treated specially by allowing his survival?

Gil-Galad 08-29-2006 01:55 PM

maybe maca...

and jenny, i'm insulted how you disrepect hama like that

alas, one dragon is far enough

++Smaug

shieldmaiden4xsword 08-29-2006 02:12 PM

Is it just me or did Gil vote twice?

As for me.....

++Smaug

i never liked dragons like Smaug for some reason. :p
