Mithril means True Silver.

Sorry Eruanna. Mithril was called True Silver, but it did not mean that.

The only other name that I know for Mithril is Moria-silver. Is that it?

Isn't he one of the members or scholars of The Philippine Tolkien Society? The society is his connection anyway, I found that.

He was a member, but there is another connection.

I can't find anything really specific. He was on a New York radio show and answered quite a few Tolkien questions...he's apparently a really big scholar, with a special expertise around Quenya.

Rashbold is a translation of Tolkien. It is explained in HoME IX. It was a 'fictitious' name used when writing the Notion Club Papers.
