Oh boy, hasn't this been a fun Day. :D
--Roa ++Inziladun I know you're a ranger and all, but that makes it all the more fun to lynch you. :p And Noggie, do you really think the lovers would sacrifice themselves just to save you? You might as well just give it up already and accept you've lost. |

But we're more important than him. Oh, and we also like things to be as easy as possible. |

Now, where's Nerwen? |
My word is my bond.
--Roa ++Inziladun I believe that that's Inzil - er - done. :D |

By the way, it is Nogrod who's the wolf, not me.
All that apparent begging on behalf of the village he did up there was to make sure you weren't planning a double-cross. Clever. |
Well, it's moot at this point, as there's already four retracteds against me. Might as well call it now.
|
Now now, that's just giving up.
I think you should write a poem to express your feelings. If you have to die, you can at least do it with style. :smokin: |
Poetry is not one of my talents.
But if you insist... When first this task I began/ It seemed I had a plan/ To root out evil and save the good from death. I saw it all so plainly/ I would not labour vainly/ To fight the wolves unto my dying breath. As I sought to find the cursed/ I thought I knew the worst/ The wolves were all the good would have to fear. Shocked I was to discover/ We were betrayed by wayward lovers/ Who sold us all without a qualm or tear. |
Ahem.
There's no case you can make that can't be made No way you can play that can't be played No one to accuse who isn't who you want to lose It's easy There's no one you can lynch who can't be lynched No deal you can clinch that can't be clinched Nothing you can post but you can learn how to make a list It's easy All you need is love All you need is love All you need is love, love Love is all you need There's no role you can hide that can't be found No one who is here who's not around Nothing to be read that isn't posted on the thread It's easy All you need is love All you need is love All you need is love, love Love is all you need All you need is love (all together now) All you need is love (everybody) All you need is love, love Love is all you need |
Saucie I totally just repped you for that last post but I think I forgot to sign it. So it was me!
-Ni :D |
We we found ourselves in times of trouble/
Traitor Lovers spoke to us/ Speaking words of slyness/ Let us be. And though we won't be parted/ We'll sell ourselves for you to see/ There will be a bloodbath Let us be. Let us be/ Let us be/ Let us be, yeah let us be/ There will be a bloodbath/ Let us be. Though all the broken hearted innocents/ Living in this house agree/ You both deserved a lynching/ We let you be. We let you be/ Let you be/ Let you be, let you be/ Though you deserved a lynching/ We let you beeeeee. And when the night is cloudy/ We will lie awake and think of you/ Next time there are Lovers/ Lynch them all/ Lynch them all, Lynch them all/ Lynch them all, yeah lynch them all/ No matter what they tell you/ Lynch them all. |
Fun, this. :D

Need I say how proud I am right now?
Once the 11th ends, I shall change my sig to reflect my enthusiasm. |
*holds up lighter*

Good morning indeed! *tries to open eyes*
So worth waking into! :D:cool: -- Roa ++ Inzil This was indeed a Day to remember - and it was soo frustrating I just had to keep every nice scenario / plot to myself and only try to look as innocent as possible in case the lovers tried to make it into toMorrow with one of us down... :p |
To My Snookums:
The moment I wake up,
Before I put on my makeup, I think of how much I love you. While plotting our coup now, And simpering all over you now, I think of how much I love you Forever, and ever, you'll stay in my heart, and I will love you Forever, and ever, we never will part; Oh, Sauce, I love you! Together, forever, that's how it must be: To live without you Would only mean vengeance for me. I vote to lynch Inzil, Cementing our choice who to kill; I tell the world that I love you. Deadline I just take time And all through my post I put rhymes; I write little love poems for you. Forever, and ever, you'll stay in my heart and I will love you Forever, and ever we never will part. Oh, Sauce, I'll love you! Together, forever, that's how it must be: To live without you Would only mean vengeance for me. I tell the world that I love you... Oh, Saucepan Man, how I love you... My darling believe me, For me there is no one but you! Please love me too... And I'm in love with you... Answer my prayer now, babe... Forever, and ever, you'll stay in my heart and I will love you Forever, and ever we never will part. Oh, how I'll love you! Together, forever, that's how it must be: To live without you Would only mean vengeance for me! |
*is thoroughly amused*
There should be song parodies in every WW game. :smokin: |

I actually thought it was a gift from heaven to realise that if there was to be such a scenario (I being innocent) the remaining winner would have been actually myself, alive probably with one of the lost lovers... So making it clear - and slightly bragging for it was meant to turn your eyes away from that road if you even considered trying to help the innocents... or for better negotiating conditions toMorrow... :D |
Where it began? It began in a PM,
And then we knew it would grow strong. It was just the thing, And Good became Lite-Evil. I couldn't believe you'd come along! Hands, reaching out, to the wolves, Trusting me, trusting you... Oh, sweet Saucepan Man, Werewolf never seem so good... I've been inclined to believe it never would! And now I, I look at the Night, And it don't seem dangerous. We fill it up with only two (And the werewolves). Worry runs off my shoulder How can I fear when Loving you? Oh us, reaching out, to the wolves, Trusting me, trusting you... Oh, sweet Saucepan Man... Werewolf never seem so good. I've been inclined to believe it never would! Ohhh, sweet Saucepan Man, winning never seemed so good... |
Upon gaining permission from the moddess to post from beyond the grave I bring you this. Also, the original.
Lo! 'Tis an awful Day Upon the Barrow Downs, you see A lover pair, Sauce and his dame As well as werewolves three The rest of them are trapped, alas Despite their urgent pleas While lovers both dark bargains pass With those who on them feed The Moddess Ni is stricken dumb As she hears ordos cry While Mira is having fun Mere mod gods they, whose is to sigh And tally the votes that have come As all the villagers have to die Moddesses these must both keep mum Oh me, oh Ni, oh my! The ranger drama oh be sure It shall not be forgot! When dear Sally tried to come to aid Of a group that trusted not Through a lynching that ever sealed her doom With the werewolves' plot And then went Lottie (brave Inzil too?) Yet lovers remain on the top But there among the ordos' angst Three fur-clad shapes come in All ready to devour their flanks As well as their knees and shins They laugh, they feast, they kill poor Ner The one who's not their kin And Nienna sobs at Brinniel's fur As well as Roa and Finn Out! Out are all the votes, cast all! And Inzildun has he the most The curtain, the village falls Though the moddesses have yet to post While the lovers still refuse to bend The rest of the village gets hosed And so the game known as Werewolf ends With its victors as Fea and Sauce |
The mods, they rule the world.
Players rise when they give the word. Now in the morning they set the tone, Watching the game they totally own. Ni got to roll the dice, Feel the fear in all the players' eyes, Listen as the Village sings "The Moddess is God, but the Co-Mod is king!" She watches expectantly And the Day ends epically, And she discovers that her players stand With a turn of events that Lovers planned. She hears the End of Day bells a ringing, Player Parody choirs are singing, The players to die cannot be healed, Accepting the ending that fate had dealed. For some reason I can't explain, Once I play there is never Never an honest word. And that was when Ni ruled the world. It was the wicked and wild Lovers, Blew down the Good to let Bad take cover, Shattered windows and the sound of drums: People couldn't believe what they'd become. Revolutionaries wait For their heads on a silver plate. Good guys puppets on a lonely string. The Lovers or Nienna as king? She hears the End of Day bells a ringing, Player Parody choirs are singing, The players to die cannot be healed, Accepting the ending that fate had dealed. For some reason I can't explain, Once I play there is never Never an honest word. And that was when Ni ruled the world. She hears the End of Day bells a ringing, Player Parody choirs are singing, The players to die cannot be healed, Accepting the ending that fate had dealed. For some reason I can't explain, Once I play there is never Never an honest word. And that was when Ni ruled the world. (But Mira was still God.) |
Deadline
Game Over.
Lovers Win. Wolves Win. Everyone else dies. You may discuss. |
Very nice, Fea dear. But mine's Poe. Nyah. :p
Also, I told thee so, village~! :( |
Yeah, but Sally, I was told on very short notice (ie: upon commencement of the prior parody) that Moddes-Ni required a parody FOR HER directed AT HER.
And the options that sprang to mind were Viva la Vida and Be a Man. Which would have been very meta. Ie: "BE A MOD! YOU MUST BE SMART AS THE AWESOME KELLY! BE A MOD! WITH ALL THE FORCE OF HER GLASSES GLARE! BE A MOD! WITH ALL THE STRENGTH NEEDED TO WEDGE FIVE POUNDS OF CLAY, AND THROW IT ON THE WHEEL IN CERAMICS ROOOOOOOOM!!!" |
So it ended Bollywood-style?
Great play lovers! And thanks to my stupenduosly cool mates in crime! We have actually anticipated this moment to be wolves together for years - Roa and me - and were ready to stage a real show as the probability of the seer dreaming at least one of us early on was quite big. But then we got lucky and there was no need for it... We were actually incredibly lucky in the first few Days... And Greenie actually helped us I think being the one to come up with this Roa and Nog are wolves theory and then being revealed to be the cobbler... So bad Inzil and Nerwen, you had it quite rough in the end. I tried to imagine how you feel to play the innocent in the end - and I almost got angry for your situation... :) And great theme, well organised, unforgettable game dear Moddesses-Goddesses... and everyone else for making this game such a great one! Werewolf is fun. Okay, off to work now. |
Also, Mira at least expressed interest in reading the Lover PMs. Sauce has them on file. I'm sure he'll oblige once he's awake and around.

*giggles* Fair enough. I did mine really quickly too, but I wasn't commanded to do it, so that of course helps. :p Meta-game! Fea dies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :Merisu: ETA: Happy 2,400 posts to me! Yay! :D |

Werebear rule #214: Do not declare war with the wolves on Day 1.
|
Song parodies for the win!
|
With both seer and hunter gone by Day 2, I thought we'd have it tough. I'd hoped the bear would be around long enough to bag a wolf for us, though.
The trouble I had the whole game was not finding someone who looked suspicious, but working out who looked the least suspicious. I could generally find points for and against everyone at any given time, until Sally practically stuck in her head in the noose. To Nog's credit, I found myself consistently thinking him one of the less likely wolves. To the point that I protected him twice! As good as our lupine crew was, the not-so-innocent lovers made things much easier on them, to be sure. I like to think that in an extremity of savage hunger, the wolves devoured them in the end. :) |
I'd like to take this opportunity to point out that until the last Night, we never discussed working with the lovers. We did go back and forth over killing them, though. :D
On the very last Night, it wasn't so much discussed as the plan was drawn up for me to make the offer and the others to stay hidden till the end, and everyone else agreeing with it. There was never a "Should we or shouldn't we?" moment. Which made Fea's posts about our conversations very funny. |
Try not to get confused by the rules as someone else reads them. Also apparently looking at what other people say is suspicious...
Also to Fea you're right my math was wrond it wasn't a 1/272 chance of rewolfing in reality the Correct math is 3/68 less than 4% and apparently the probability was right though had he not acted suspicious in my opinion. so I got Two votes automatically.... |
For Pookie
I'm planning a coup with you
That’s all we ever do That’s all we ever dream We’ll gamble everything Meet me at the werewolf thread See there o’er Night who’s dead PMs typed by scheming hands See the Lovers make their plans This is for Lovers Scheming a way This is for Lovers Scheming their way All through the Day I’m sending my thoughts to you About yesterDay's clues Let’s play the game our way See if we can seize the Day I could have hidden from view See the lynch mob come for you But we knew that it was time Time to put it all on the line This is for Lovers Scheming a way This is for Lovers Scheming their way All through the Day This is for Lovers Scheming a way This is for Lovers Scheming their way To seize the Day This is for Lovers Scheming a way This is for Lovers Scheming their way To end of play For any who may not be familiar with the song that this is based on, it's For Lovers by Wolfman Pete (I kid you not :D) featuring Pete Docherty, and its a lovely song. |
Wow! What a game! Very stressful, but very enjoyable. So thanks to everyone, especially the Moddesses and most especially my wonderful partner in crime, Fea. :)

Funny how meta-reasoning works. Despite being fully aware that the roles were assigned randomly, my mind refused to accept the notion that Roa and Nog could be Wolves together. Quote:
Quote:
The origin of our strategy is fairly simple. We had a revenge kill, but there was no value to us in using it since, by that stage, we would have lost. It's value to us, therefore, was in its deterrent effect. But the only way to bring that to bear was to reveal. Of course, we could not do so while the Bear was around (since we might both be killed at Night and we could not win with the Bear anyway) and nor were we well advised to do so while the Village might consider lynching one of us. In any event, by the time that this option became open to us, we had little choice but to take it, since Fea would most probably otherwise have been lynched. And Wolves, my assertion that we were confident in hitting a Wolf with our revenge kill was largely bluff (as you may have suspected): Roa - You fooled me with what looked like genuine reactions twice - first when you backed off after suspecting me so strongly on Day 1 and then again with your reaction to our reveal, which I thought totally genuine. Was that all acting, or was there an element of frustration there? Later, I became increasingly convinced of your Wolfishness, particularly when Fea pointed out to me that the Wolves had a great opportunity to get you lynched on Day 3 and failed to take it. Nog - I did suspect you in the first Day or so, because I thought you unusually aggressive. I didn't go against you, because we were actually looking to get innocents lynched in the first few Days. After our reveal, though, I started to become increasingly convinced of your innocence. Your reactions looked genuine to me and your (stated) analyses were along the lines that I was thinking (but keeping to myself). There was also an element of meta-reasoning here, as mentioned above. Brinniel - You played a classic Wolf game perfectly. Relatively quiet, but vocal enough and with sufficient analysis to avoid too much suspicion. You were always in my thougts as a possible Wolf, but there were always others more prominent in my suspicions. Also, you and Nog played the Wolf-on-Wolf votes on McCaber perfectly, and that threw me off your trail a bit. McCaber - I actually thought that you were one of those innocents that inevitably attract suspicion early in the game for acting inadvertently suspiciously. For that reason, I was quite happy to see you lynched, as we would then have got to the end game much quicker. On reflection, though, it was perhaps in our interests that the Wolves were at least one down by the time it came to conducting the negotiations. Quote:

Mira and I talked about what happened to the Lovers post-game. If she goes with it, you'll see. :)
Now back to grandma's! (I'm clearly not as evil in RL as I let everyone think I am.) |
Bwah?! And the Downs eats another post. Well, I'll type it up again when I get to work, but yeah. I had some lovely explanations for things, too. Meh.
*toddles* Oooo, and I can't wait to see the narration and find out what happens. :) |
