Oh Bergil, how could you have failed to pick up on the legends of Legolas' hare (and indeed Isildur's Hare) during your stay at the downs.... they are marvellous tales.

Kath 11-20-2005 05:21 PM

They certainly are. I remember stumbling across them one day and spending a good half hour or so having a very amusing read :D

He can also create situations late in the game where he can form a voting block with the remaining werewolf and then block any lunchings from occurring.

So no last meal for the condemned man then?

i belive the 'maggot holes' the Captians of the West saw were only small caves in the side of the Mts of Mordor, adjacent to the Morannon fro orcs to hide in and hide their numbers.
Orcs with afros? I don't want to think about that.

It is partly my fault for choosing such a crumby name. I think my names include, but are not limited to, the guy who be short, tgwbs, the guy, guy, short guy, shorty, shortie, and apparently the guy who be shot or sort. It's mindboggling. :D

Just be glad you've never gotten the guy who be snot! :p

My favorite 'Is the Guy Who Be Shot" I'll refrain from using though. We don't want streetgangs infiltrating the Downs.
I just discovered this thread and will be on the look-out for additions

Perhaps it might seem rather eccentric to respond to this a month after it's posted but I've only just noticed it, and it gives me an opportunity to feel knowledgeable and superior for a few seconds.

I did mean to type that Morgoth invested the city on the landward side (this was from the closing stages of the Silmarillion Survivor, incidentally). Long before it had anything to do with finance, "investment" related to besieging. To invest a city is to blockade it, surround it with siege engines, that sort of thing.

It's no more a typo than Aragorn, Legolas and Eomer in the van, that famous moment in the Two Towers...

Helment 1. n a dented helmet, 2. v the ironical act, when pointing out a typographical mistake, of making a similar mistake oneself.

:p ;)

Hahaha ouch... SPM, you are not making yourself any favours... I still want to lynch you  No, you got me there... I blame it on English being my second language :D But you have to admit that Helment sounds good... remind me to use it as a name on the next RPG I play

HerenIstarion 03-10-2006 11:46 PM

Helment (composed n) 3 (Hale + mint) - medical grass used in herbivore treatment
Helment (composed n) 4 (Hell + mentor) - teacher unsuitable for his/her occupation

I suppose #3 is rather more appicable. Horse was not feeling well, and asked for treatment (since I don't suppose it asked to be badly educated). Logic, that is, s'arge!

Estelyn Telcontar 03-11-2006 03:59 AM

Why, my dear sirs, you are overlooking the most obvious definition of "Helment"! Just divide the word into its two parts, and its meaning is clear - Helm-Ent! No, we have no evidence that a member of the most botanical of the free peoples ever wore a helm, but you do remember those treeish creatures that came to Helm's Deep to assist the Rohirrim in their battle against the orcs, don't you? Their honorary title ever after was "Helm-Ent"!

I rest my case.

I just love this - regarding all those Nogrod vs. the rest of the village cases in earlier WW-games... A classical typo, revealing the true thought behind? :p
