F is for Fredegar Bolger who helped Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin leave Crickhollow undetecded. Nearly killed by a Nazgul, but lived to be later imprisoned in the Lockholes. He was released by Frodo and Co. Was called Fatty up until that point.

(Since we're doing hobbit names E could also have stood for Elanor Gamgee...*ahem*)

V is for Valaquenta, a book about the Valar. It was part of Blibo Baggins' Translations from Elvish in the Red Book of Westmarch. (So it's the only hobbit related V word I could think of).
