Gil? Where are you?

I am everywhere and I am nowhere.

Busy with school at the moment, so count me out of WW admin-ing for a while, perhaps next spring once my schedule isn't erratic I can do my steampunk idea.

Yes please!

Anyway who is modding next?

Tar-Jêx 10-29-2014 05:33 PM

I'll join the next game of Werewolf.

Sounds like my kind of thing.

Certainly, you are welcome. No game is open at the moment though, and I don't know if anyone's up to mod one now. Watch this thread for information, and sooner or later there'll be a new game.
If you haven't played before, just be sure to peruse these good general guidelines, and it's helpful to look back at finished games to get an idea of how the game flows.

Aganzir 10-30-2014 08:33 AM

I want to play.

*glares at potential mods*

Kitanna 10-31-2014 04:41 PM

I'd also like to play if ever another game gets going.
But in the meantime:
Happy Halloween Fellow Werewolvers

Beautiful. Ah, if only I had muttonchops like that! :D

That's brilliant! Thanks Kit!

How does the were-bear win? It said on the sticky that he wins when everyone dies, but how does everyone die? Everyone in a certain party dies? I'm guessing we won't have enough people for the were-bear to come in, but knowledge is power.

The conditions for a Bear to win can vary a bit in an individual game, but generally he wins if he survives until all Wolves are dead. Until then, he is at risk of Wolf-attack like the Innocents.
The constant opposing sides are the Innocent Villagers and the Wolves. The Bear and Lovers are alike in putting their own interests first.

If it’s the “classic” bear described in the guidelines, it’s a pretty tough rôle. It’s often modified in some way, though. (Please note that the descriptions of the special rôle descriptions in the guidelines only give the typical versions– there’s a lot of variants.)

By the way, everyone, it’s been more than six months since I last modded...:Merisu:

If you're up for modding, that means we start getting people for a game.

Well, as long as nobody else wants to go first.

We can probably give it a week and see if anyone else wants to mod it. After that, the preparation period can begin, and we should be good to go shortly afterwards.

Aganzir 11-14-2014 01:26 PM

Yes Nerwen!! I can't see a queue for modding. :D

Well, I thought Gil had his name down, but he doesn't seem to be around at the moment anyway.

Nerwen 11-16-2014 03:55 AM

Okay. I think that’s been long enough. I’ll try to have the admin thread up tomorrow.

Rikae 05-07-2015 04:48 PM

So, now that we're back in the barrow, is anyone up for a new werewolf game?

Aganzir 05-07-2015 05:18 PM

I am! I'm not sure how my schedule will work but I'm interested.

Thinlómien 05-08-2015 04:19 AM

Yes!

And who wants to mod?

Kuru?

Agan and G55?

Someone else?

PS. If there's a flood of sign ups, what about dueling wizards?

Macalaure 05-08-2015 06:40 AM

I'm absolutely in. :)

Inziladun 05-08-2015 07:09 AM

I'm in. It's been too long.

I'm in consultation with someone about a set up I want to try. It is not ready for a public unveiling yet because my "big" idea might be unworkable, in which case I will use a smaller version of my idea which I'm positive will work just fine.

I don't want to mention who I'm speaking to because that would give away part of the nature of my idea prematurely. :p Hopefully this person checks their PMs regularly. In any case I should have all the details worked out in just a few days.

Although, not dueling wizards, rest assured that if I can do my big idea it will be a pretty big extravaganza and even the smaller version should prove to be...interesting, so tell all your friends! :D See if we can spread the word that the Downs are back and see if we can lure back some old-timers even.

Nerwen 05-08-2015 08:15 AM

Count me in, as always.

YAY! NERWEN! We were worried about whether you'll find your way back or not!! (Meaning: 2/3 of the active 'downers were conspiring on facebook while the 'downs was down.)

Loslote 05-08-2015 09:23 AM

I'm in! I'll be a bit busy with graduation and flights back home until the 14th of this month, but I'm would guess the game won't start before then, anyway. :D

Kitanna 05-08-2015 12:02 PM

I'm in

:smokin:

He would be awesome to have back! I would also hoping somebody could lure Anguirel, Fea, and the phantom out of retirement. The more the merrier!

Nogrod 05-08-2015 02:51 PM

Fea and the phantom might be persuaded... I'm not that optimistic about Anguirel or the Saucepanman (like how we'd reach them?).

Should you Kuru advertise this in Fb? I think a lot of 'Downers could be reached that way - although it might be that in the sheer joy of the 'Downs returning all candidates for a new game of Werewolf have already scrolled through all the threads there are alive now, including this one...

And yes, I'm game as well.

And yes, I'm game as well.

Alas, I don't Facebook myself, but I certainly encourage those who do to trumpet the news far and wide for all to hear.

I have made my consultation (a thousand thanks to my consultants, you know who you are)!

I will be making a proper sign-up admin thread shortly. Exactly what rules and roles will apply depends on how many participants we have.

Nogrod 05-08-2015 03:28 PM

Done.

Thanks!

Just as a heads up I have created a proper sign in/admin thread here.

I will be filling it in with rules and roles probably starting tomorrow (depending on what time of day I finish my business of the day).

Thinlómien 06-15-2015 09:53 AM

Sooo....

who's modding the next game? :D

I doubt anyone's in a horrible hurry to play, but given that it always takes like a decade to get things sorted, I thought why not get the ball rolling.

Any people who itch* to mod?

* and no, this wasn't a direct nudge at Boro the Itch Man... :D

Galadriel55 06-15-2015 10:14 AM

Well, there was that thing that you, Agan, and yours truly began to begin discussing around Christmas time... ;) As far as I know, that wasn't completely off the table but at least temporarily postponed. Thoughts? Plans? Devious schemes?

ETA: I am in no condition to be a mod now, with my schedule, but I can be a back up mod, and I just want to help plan that particular game. :D

To be honest, I never said "yay let's do it", it was more like Agan talking about it to me and assuming I'm in. :p Seeing as she's going to be travelling soon and I just promised to mod the next paper telephone plus am going to be mildly busy with the restarted Scarburg Meadhall, I think we could let the idea rest for now, and maybe dig it up in the late summer or in the autumn? :)

So whoever wants to and can mod next should do it.

Eomer of the Rohirrim 06-16-2015 01:28 PM

Well, I've just re-read the 'Pain of Wargs' game and the yearning for modding has a grip on me! Not that I have any ideas yet, nor any inclination to do anything other than a very basic game (for old times' sake) - that is, mind you, what I said about that game, and I ended up throwing in a bunch of weird Valar additional-role stuff. :D

But after Kuru's awesome and bewildering and complicated game, there might be a taste for something more simple and old-fashioned; and so, while I might need to think of a new Warg-related setting, I'd like to put my name on the list for future mods.

Oh! but isn't it wonderful to be back in Middle-earth Mirth? :)

Thinlómien 06-16-2015 02:24 PM

Yay Eomer! A basic game sounds nice and simple. ;)

I believe the modding list now looks like this:
