Gaerys, The Awesome
the Awesome? ;)
Gaerys it is!
Who held Daeron's runes in higher regard than his own people?
The dwarves.
Hey, you just got the right answer to a question of mine in another thread! Gotta good thing goin on...
:D Your turn. |
Hehe, that has happened to me too. Always people answering my questions...:p
Anyway, a question. What was the new name for Cabed-en-Aras, and why was it renamed? |
Cabed-en-Aras was renamed Cabed Naeramarth, the leap of doom if I remember aright. It was renamed such after Nienor lept off it to her death.
Right-o. Your turn. :)
Thanks. Herm....Who was the love of Finrod Felagund?
Is it Galadriel?
Amarië of the Vanyar.
Umm.... Perky Ent... that would be incest... Galadriel was his sister. |
Thank the Valar Finrod didn't go the way of Turin. Finwe has it. Your go.
Thank the Valar indeed.
Nimble fingers bore fell fire. Fell fire bore wounded fox. Wounded fox bore bright jewel. Bright jewel bored through darkness. (The answer to the riddle is the line mentioned.) |
Something with Beren and the Silmaril?
Finwë, yes i know that Galadriel is Finrod's sister, but...it was a random guess! Um...is the answer...um....(random again) Earendil?
Haha... it's all right...
Nope, both answers are incorrect. Look closely at the word "fire." Go over all of the people in the Silmarillion, and pay attention to their epessi. |
Maedhros?
Close, but not the answer that I was looking for. The answer is the name of a line (or of a House).
Fingolfin?
Nope.
Feanor?
Right. I'll be daring and attempt to explain my answer. ;)
Nimble Fingers=Miriel (her epesse Serindë means 'needlewoman') Fell fire=Feanor ('spirit of fire', etc etc) Wounded fox=Maedhros (gained the 'fox' nickname due to red hair) Bright jewel=Silmaril So ... I s'pose it's Finwe's line, as Miriel can't be said to be of the House of Feanor. |
Yep. Your go.
Name the three mariners who sailed with Earendil on his most famous voyage.
Falathar, Erellont and Aerandir.
That's good, go ahead. :)
What was the place called where Fëanor burned his ships?
Losgar, in the Firth of Drengist.
Correct, your turn. :)
Describe the battle that had no name. (I don't mean describe it in detail; I would say name it, but... ;) . Just identify it.)
It was the first battle in the Beleriand Wars, basically it was Morgoth vs sindar elves.
Yes.
What was the tower called where Orodreth ruled, before and after it was taken by Sauron?
Oooh, yay, one I can do without referring to a book at all. :D The tower is Minas Tirith, and....
*pause* Okay, maybe not. Erm, the isle is Tol Sirion, and this is changed to Tol-in-Gaurhoth. Does the actual tower's name definitely change...? |
Correct.
Sorry for the delay.
Okay ... um ... easy one ... name the elf-maiden that followed Turin when he walked in Doriath. |
Finduilas?
Nope.
Nellas.
Right. :)
