A Little Green 01-16-2011 06:17 AM

Both me and Lommy are game, just so you know.

elronds_daughter 01-16-2011 02:22 PM

I'm up for a Rikae-game!

satansaloser2005 01-16-2011 05:15 PM

If we start after the 28th, I am SO in.

Mänwe 01-16-2011 07:15 PM

I'm game for another game. :)

Nerwen 01-17-2011 04:59 AM

Sign me up please, Rikae. I am suffering serious WW withdrawal right now!

skip spence 01-17-2011 10:41 AM

I've seem to've become smitten by the ww-bug too but will have to pass this time. Have fun!

:D It's about time. *mutters*

Inziladun 02-09-2011 08:30 PM

*bump*

Am I right in thinking Foley is next on the mod list? Or has all the RPG discussion gotten everyone focused on that for the moment?

Folwren 02-10-2011 01:36 PM

I'm game if you all are in trying out my idea. I've discussed it with Fea and she seems to like the idea and says to attempt it.

-- Foley

Rikae 02-10-2011 01:40 PM

What's the plan, Foley? (Sorry if I missed it...)

Folwren 02-10-2011 01:59 PM

I didn't put it down yet. I'm not sure what the protocol is for this. Do I give a brief description here, or wait until I start a discussion thread? I'm assuming here, so people can know what they're signing up for...but then on the other hand, I don't remember anyone ever doing that.

Glirdan 02-10-2011 02:00 PM

I'm interested in at least hearing about it. I can't for sure say that I'll be able to play this time around though with work and two shows

Glirdan 02-10-2011 02:02 PM

Ummm, I'm pretty sure you can just go ahead and put up the Admin thread....Some people put a brief description here and then also post the Admin thread, so it's your call :)

elronds_daughter 02-10-2011 03:27 PM

Ooooh, yay, another game on the horizon! How very exciting. :)

Mithalwen 02-10-2011 03:29 PM

Up to you but I think most people but an outline in the first post of their admin thread and if any specific points are up for discussion that can be done there by those interested in participating, So you could post about it here too or you could just direct people to the admin thread when ready. :D

Folwren 02-10-2011 04:57 PM

Thanks, guys. I'm thinking I'll need a few hints and nudges along the way.

I'll work on the outline and get it up as soon as possible on an Admin thread.

Galadriel55 03-25-2011 06:29 PM

WW in one sentence...

On some advertisement there was this slogan: "There'll be plenty of time to sleep when you're dead". It doesn't matter what everyone thought the add was about, because it really was about werewolf! :D

Folwren 05-22-2011 02:37 PM

I am now recruiting players for my game The Valley Forge. If you would like to read about it and (hopefully) sign up, here's the thread.

Kitanna 06-12-2011 08:17 PM

I've been months away from the Downs. I see Folwren has a WW game going, but who is next on the list to mod? If things go as they are in my life as they are now I'll have nothing but free time. I could use the cutthroat interaction of a werewolfing game.

Foley's game is stalled until enough sign-ups accrue. *hint* ;)

I think I'd said something about modding a while back, but I haven't though about it much lately. Mine was going to be pretty basic.

Shastanis Althreduin 07-08-2011 07:17 PM

Since Folwren has gone and Inzil has gone ahead and hosted (and Wilwa/Glirdan apparently have/had issues), looking back I think the 'list' (if you can call it that) is:

Rikae
Lottie
Shasta

I went ahead and added myself to the end of the list as I'd meant to several months ago .

Galadriel55 07-08-2011 07:34 PM

Rikae already modded. And Foley's game is kinda still on-pause...

Missed Rikae, then, but I would say Foley's game is less "on-pause" and more "dead-in-the-water". We've already had Inzil host instead, and given how long it's been since people actually signed up... I'm all for Foley hosting, but I think she'd probably be better served by putting up a new admin thread. Also, based on McCaber's recent post in said admin thread, Foley apparently mentioned something about starting up at the beginning of August? That's fine, but that also means there's room for someone to host now that Inzil's game is over.

Eruhen 07-09-2011 04:43 PM

Well, I've never played WW on the Downs, but I have been in quite a few games in RL, and I'm game for whenever the next game starts.

Loslote 07-11-2011 10:14 PM

If I were to host, it'd have to be basically now, because I don't want to be hosting when I start college...Shasta, if you want to host, though, go ahead - I am not by any means desperate. ;)

No no, you were definitely on the list before me, and I am all for you hosting immediately. :)

Alright, I'll dig up my old outline and try to have an Admin thread up...tomorrowish? Somewhere around there. :)

That's just awful. At least you, Shasta, had better luck as a wolf in that game than in your last BD werewolf game, huh? Bad luck for the villagers to kill their seer day 1.

Shasta is now avenged! :D And so is Nog. Both were Day one Seer lynches, as far as I remember...

Glirdan 08-06-2011 12:40 PM

Oh that Shasta and his conniving ways :P

Tell me about it! For me, the worst thing was that I got three of four wolves and the cobbler right on the last Day, but it was too late by then. Should've just stuck with my gut reactions all the way through - Duj tIvoqtaH, as the Klingons say. Still, calling bovine faeces on Nogwolf's fabricated case and being proved right was quite satisfying.
By the way Rune, brilliant cobblery there! And Greenie, I never got around to asking - whom did you actually hunt?

You actually get it more to the point you might know as my surname is derived from the word "bull"...

But as to those cases... well, there was no need of me to make them (and I wouldn't have called them "cases" in the first place as they were some random first few Day's throw-aways more meant to entertain others than to actually suspect anyone) and I could have just not made those few remarks (a wolf could have been easily more low-laying) - but where you're right, is that a wolf might be more easily led to make these "let's make these funny-ones" in the beginning of the game... even if a responsible ordo might try those as well...

But really: the three people sitting more or less outside the circle of fire - c'mon, that's no argument but a kind of "he has fangs, let'as lynch him" - a kind of an opening accusation any reasonable ordo might do on Day1 just to make the game go forwards and to provide something to "read".

Pitchwife 08-13-2011 11:06 AM

Yeah, go ahead and ruin my little consolation.:)

If I remember correctly, what provoked my strong objection (to avoid further implied swearing) was you saying that they had been outside before but had moved inside now so as to better blend with the crowd - an argument from wolf psychology that's something quite different (in my mind at least) than just saying "they're outside, they must be wolves". I'll give you that it wasn't really a 'case' and you may not have expected a lot of people to buy it, but semper aliquid haeret, doesn't it?

I'll admit however that my memory of the game isn't exactly crystal clear - a reminder that Werewolf and alcohol don't go together that well, at least for me:rolleyes:.

Heh, no. And yes.

I was actually amazed to pull it through as I tend to be quite bad in live-werewolf because I have no poker-face whatsoever.

And you were up to something there quite nicely, even if I thought for the wrong reasons (the wolves always feel people suspecting them do it for the wrong reasons! :D). But where I'd stay my stance even today (not anymore the knee-jerk version of a person who has stayed up too late...) is that I don't believe anyone should have bought that, as it was more like a "let's throw something in the air and see how people react" -thing (does someone follow the suspicion, does someone feel a too strong urge to defend her/himself etc.) - which is not actually very wolvish but more of the contrary...

BUt yes, I was for a period of time quite pressed with you getting too many of our names right - happily you didn't have enough to back them for real. ;)

I learned this game in RL (or a derivitive of it) and have quite a good poker face. In RL, I'm one of those people the seer checks on first or the bad guys kill first.

As far as I can remember, she kept hunting Oddwen at least for the first few Days(/Nights) quite steadily.

I will just chime in and say that it was actually a brilliant game, even though I died so soon, but at least that made me able to watch most of it (and imagine my horror at first seeing the Wolves rise at Night... well, as it goes)... and later also to go to the sauna while the rest still continued playing :smokin: (actually, I recall it was still Day/Night 4 when we both left AND returned from the sauna...)

*shrugs* Can't really speak to that after only one RL game with you, but I think you're selling yourself short on that - although you didn't quite match Squatter, who had the most impenetrable pokerface I've ever seen: looking dead drunk and can't-be-bothered, but still pretty sharp behind that facade - impressive newbie cub performance!

Or others;). But yeah, I see your point, you might have done the same as an ordo trying to stir the pot, as the saying goes.

Hahaha. :D

It was a good game even though I died so early. At least I had fun being the mod during the infamous night/day 4.

It also made me feel like playing werewolf again. I really hope I'll have the time for it some time in the autumn.
