To always come whenever the King of Gondor had a kegger, even if no one else came. They all suddenly went sober and so they broke their oath on the next weekend.

Pippin. He was holding it for Frodo while in Moria, and when he threw the "stone" down the well, he was actually ridding himself of the temptation of the ring by dropping it on the balrog's head, and it was lost forever, cuz everyone knows that balrogs never wash their hair. . .
