NightKnight has it! oh Perky, you try too hard

NightKnight 06-22-2004 07:54 AM

Who was said Hurin's grandson?

The Perky Ent 06-22-2004 06:18 PM

Hador?

NightKnight 06-23-2004 03:58 AM

Nope.

Fingolfin II 06-23-2004 04:11 AM

Orodreth?

NightKnight 06-23-2004 04:49 PM

Nay. I'm going away, so I'll just give you the answer. It was Theoden. Hurin's daughter was Morwen of Lossarnach, who married Thengel of Rohan. And Thengel's only son was Theoden. New question, anyone?

Carnimírië 06-24-2004 01:09 PM

Who told Théoden to turn back and go to Edoras?

wilwarin538 06-24-2004 03:57 PM

Aragorn?

Fingolfin II 06-24-2004 08:30 PM

Eomer?

Nilpaurion Felagund 06-24-2004 09:13 PM

Ceorl.

Carnimírië 06-24-2004 09:36 PM

Nilpaurion Felagund has it. Your turn.

Nilpaurion Felagund 06-26-2004 01:02 AM

Thanks, Red Jewel!

In RotK, what made Théoden not turn back from Minas Tirith?

Kath 06-26-2004 09:24 AM

Because Ghan-buri-ghan gave him a way through to the city wihtout having to find the orcs on the way in?

Nilpaurion Felagund 06-27-2004 09:05 PM

Well, maybe, but, after he saw Minas Tirith burning, and decided to slink away, what happened that changed his mind?

The Perky Ent 06-28-2004 08:45 PM

Because Eowyn woulda got ticked off at him? I know it's wrong, but it's fun to ask.

Nilpaurion Felagund 06-30-2004 11:47 PM

Yep, Perks, it's wrong.

Come on, people! It's easy!

Osse 07-01-2004 01:34 AM

Firstly, a wind played with the kings hair, and stirred his heart somewhat from the dread he felt, THEN "there was a flash, as if lightening had sprung from the City. For a searing second it stood dazzling far off in the black and white, its topmost tower like a glittering needle; and then as the darkness closed again there came rolling over the fields a great boom ." Then suddenly, he became brave and battle hungry, one can only assume that this was sent by Gandalf, using his Elven Ring to stir the hearts of the Rohirrim. That, coupled with the wind, was what kept him from running off! :D

Nilpaurion Felagund 07-01-2004 01:42 AM

The wind will be good.

Acceptable. :D Your turn.

Gil-Galad 07-27-2005 07:34 AM

Nilpaurion Felagund 07-27-2005 08:02 PM

Which Rohirric ancestor was the first to ride to Gondor's aid?

Eorl the Young?

Nilpaurion Felagund 07-28-2005 08:27 AM

No.

Someone before him. Not Rohirric, but an ancestor of them.

You can get the answer from UT, in The Chronicles of Cirion and Éorl.

Alcarillo 07-31-2005 01:37 PM

Marhwini.

Nilpaurion Felagund 08-01-2005 04:05 AM

Alcarillo 08-07-2005 08:43 PM

How many horses are there in an éored?

Alcarillo 08-07-2005 08:54 PM

No less than 120 men, and so, assuming 1 horse per man, there would be no less than 120 horses.

Nilpaurion Felagund 08-07-2005 09:06 PM

Exactly.

Back to you. :)

Alcarillo 08-07-2005 09:29 PM

Who put the "Tradition of Isildur" on a scroll?

Alcarillo 08-08-2005 01:22 PM

That would be Rómendacil I.

Nilpaurion Felagund 08-08-2005 07:46 PM

That would be correct.

Nice avvie. ;)

Yours.

Alcarillo 08-08-2005 07:48 PM

I stole it from Oddwen

What did the seal of the Stewards look like?

Nilpaurion Felagund 08-08-2005 08:09 PM

I know. Isn't she great?

The letters R-ND-R surmounted by three stars, signifying arandur (king's servant), steward.
