I think you need to have a certain number of posts and be quite an 'established' poster. Those that contribute to the Downs in a good and beneficial way will usually get one. Although, how the heck I got one is a mystery. :D

all i said on this thread was "i wonder when i am going to get mine" and the next day i got a PM

Gwathagor 02-22-2008 04:02 PM

I think Rune should take "Norseman of the Apocalypse" for his title. It's much too clever to pass up. Just accept the Judeo-Christian implications; they're inescapable in Western culture.

Mithalwen 02-22-2008 04:10 PM

If he doesn't - well I can't help thinking that there should be Four Norsemen of the Apocalypse - Rune, The King of Nogland and.... ? Could be a more select and specific fellowhip than the Fenris pack....

Iddon't think that cunning plan works any more

Perhaps the next plan must involve a turnip? :p

Anyway to answer the question Eonwe, you have to have a certain number of posts that contribute to the forum and it used to be that you had to have reached a certain level of reputation but since the re-jig of that I'm not sure that's a factor anymore.

Lalwendë 02-25-2008 12:33 PM

Note, this is indeed a genuine Marx quote: A specter is haunting Europe - the specter of communism. Is that where you got it, Thenamir?

Of course, Norsemen didn't wear such helms.

Oh I've just spotted this. Marvellous. He looks like he should be saying "The Norsemen have nothing to lose but their chains. They have a world to win. Norsemen of all countries! Unite!"

Volo 02-26-2008 01:36 PM

Brinniel, do add Raynor to your list. ;) He got a very Raynor-ish PT.

I finally added Rikae to the list along with Raynor. I'll update again when Rune, Valier, and Naria pick their PTs. Is there anyone else who has been offered a PT that I don't know about?

Valier 05-07-2008 11:17 AM

*cough,cough* :D:):p

I love it Valier - but I only saw a minute ago because Agan told me you had one. :D Rune's is nice as well.

I like yours because it's so playful and fits you perfectly, and I like the way Rune's sounds poetic.

I like it!

I actually think it is a lot better than some of the early sugestions. . .

Aganzir just informed me that my PT is up now. . .so I am kind of using this post to test it and see if it fits me.

Mithalwen 05-07-2008 12:07 PM

I like it too though I think some of the early suggestions were excellent! But I think it is very clever with the various interpretations... :D

Valier 05-07-2008 12:49 PM

I love yours Rune!! Very fitting.
I like some of the early suggestions for mine(thanks everyone;)) and was going to pick one of them, but my Fiance suggested this for me and after a few days I decided he was right and I love it.

Now we just have to wait for Naria to pick one...;):D

Oh and the coughing was really just to test out my new title

Mithalwen 05-07-2008 01:55 PM

Yes they respond well to that..... especially the bright new shiny ones :D

Oddwen 05-07-2008 09:41 PM

Glad to see both of your titles at last, very nice indeed - though Rune, I am still slightly depressed that you didn't consider any of my suggestions. :p

Rune Son of Bjarne 05-08-2008 08:01 PM

Oh but I did consider them, I just decided they where truly awful as well. . .

Lalwendë 05-11-2008 02:09 PM

Nice one, Rune :D That suits you soooo much!

*sends Rune many beers*

Rune Son of Bjarne 05-11-2008 07:17 PM

Thanks, both for the compliment and the beer, I love getting both.

I really like the PT as well, who would have thought that "A Mere Boggart" could come up with such a thing?

Eomer of the Rohirrim 05-13-2008 05:11 AM

Yeah, I commented on your sig recently, Rune, but I can't let the mention of Odin go without serious hails! :D

Also, thanks for the list Brinniel. :)

With Lal's title I always wonder about what the other sorts of Boggart are ..the Heath Boggart, the Wood Boggart and the Hill Boggart perhaps... ;)

Or the Humphrey Boggart...a dark haired, monochromatic creature known to haunt film noir and speak with a slight lisp.

Surprisingly enough, the creature did in fact appear in Lord of the Rings...

Don't worry about it. . . I don't mind.

Praise from people like you is always welcome.

That is fantastic!!!

And what of his successful but rather less talented cousin Dirk Boggart... ? I suspect he could have palyed Erestor...

Lauren Bacall would have been great as Eowyn...

No problem. :) And thanks because that comment reminded me I've been needing to update the list. I meant to do it awhile ago...whoops...

Rune (whose title happens to remind me of my mom's maiden name) and Valier are now added to the list.

alatar 01-14-2009 09:02 AM

Lush's title, Fair and Cold, seems appropriate for this time of year, though she might want to add, "with a 70% chance of snow."

To ask the same question in a narrower manner: whom did she bribe, and with what?

I believe it translates to "The Beautiful Lady without Pity." A reference to Keats, and a rather fitting change for our Fea. Nothing against "Bringer of Red Dawn" but this one I like better. :D

Mithalwen 08-09-2010 04:46 AM

Do we need to keep watch for ailing knights at arms (at places where no birds sing of course).

wilwarin538 08-09-2010 07:32 AM

I greatly approve of the french title! It's very nice. :)

Probably for the best that you do... I'm sure they'd appreciate it.

Rune Son of Bjarne 08-22-2010 07:25 AM

Had Fea changed it to German or Tagalog it would have been über cool, but French. . .

Actually I loved your former title, it was definitely one of my all time favourites.

WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! :smokin:

Who else?

satansaloser2005 03-07-2012 12:10 PM

I'm still trying to decide what mine shall be. Such difficult choices!
