piosenniel 08-23-2004 02:10 PM

You're up! :D

Nilpaurion Felagund 08-23-2004 09:06 PM

Thanks!

Any of you watch the moviefication of The Hunt for Red October? Well, in that version, CIA officer Jack Ryan came aboard Dallas.

Of course, as usual, the book is still better.

NightKnight 08-24-2004 05:55 AM

Did he meet Sador Labadal there?

Nilpaurion Felagund 08-26-2004 09:23 PM

I dunno.

I'm too busy loading the torpedoes.

You're up! :)

NightKnight 08-27-2004 05:07 PM

Thanks. And be careful not to hit anything with those. Well, maybe some orcses. ;)

All this time, we've been living in a long lie.

Nilpaurion Felagund 08-27-2004 11:27 PM

I agree.

I think I should drown my sorrow beside fair Legolin. Maybe get a pizza on the way.

NightKnight 08-28-2004 04:24 AM

Pizza? Can I join? ;)

You're up. :)

Nilpaurion Felagund 08-29-2004 09:04 PM

Thanks!

Do you know the story of the Dwarves of the First Age. Well, there were the Petty-Dwarves, the Dwarves of Nogrod and Belegost, and the famous Khazad-dûm of Durin. But have you heard of the dwelling of the Dwarves in the White mountains long ago in the First Age? It was called

The Lair of Nóin.

Then again, I got this from a Dwarf who had too much to drink.

Nilpaurion Felagund 09-02-2004 09:22 PM

*cricket music*

Ummm . . . anyone? It's really easy.

Nilpaurion Felagund 09-08-2004 10:09 PM

*more cricket music*

People? Don't pull this trick on me. I'm scared of being alone.

NightKnight 09-09-2004 12:22 AM

Is it Nienor daugther of Thalion?

I know we had a "son of"-thingy before, so why not. :p

Nilpaurion Felagund 09-10-2004 12:08 AM

Sorry.

Clue: "of" exists.

piosenniel 09-13-2004 05:07 PM

Starts with an 'N', includes an 'of' . . .

*mutters under her breath

A hint, my friend - I can't seem to set the letters right . . .

~*~ Pio :(

Nilpaurion Felagund 09-15-2004 12:57 AM

Another clue?

Hmmm . . . the "ó" really is included in the shuffle.

Oh, and :p

No really, that was a hint! A profound hint, I might say.

piosenniel 10-21-2004 12:44 PM

* 'Uncle'! she cries, throwing her hands up in despair *

Give us the answer Master Anagrammer & try us on an easier one . . .

Nilpaurion Felagund 10-25-2004 02:14 AM

The Naith of Lórien!

("The" not included. ;) )

A new puzzle? Hmmm . . . I'm currently away from school (and hence, civilisation) until the 9th of November. Sooo . . . anyone else have a scribble-shuffling sphinx? Maybe that person can have a go. :D

Rimbaud 10-28-2004 08:07 AM

Following on then, so it's an 'N' we're after

The precocious child of words turns to his reprimanding parent, and declares of the room-tidying suggestion:

Nah, let mess sing!

Rimbaud 11-01-2004 10:03 AM

No-one?

Come on - it's not hard, if a little tongue-in-cheek.

piosenniel 11-12-2004 04:09 PM

Haven't been here in a while . . .

How about:

Nameless Things

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Was just reading about them very recently to see how they might feature in a game! ;)

~*~ Pio

Rimbaud 11-15-2004 04:50 AM

Spot on

And well done for naming the nameless. Your turn, Ma'am!

piosenniel 11-18-2004 01:51 PM

Inattentive student hisses to her seat mate, sotto voce:

Ss!! Read What?

:)

The Saucepan Man 11-18-2004 06:50 PM

STRAWHEADS!

Cries the lecturer in desperation.

piosenniel 11-19-2004 03:13 AM

Ball in your court, Saucy!

Rimbaud 11-22-2004 04:25 AM

Bump - SpM

Lay down your Gauntlet of Confusion!

The Saucepan Man 11-22-2004 07:23 PM

Ahem! Sorry for the delay.

Before Sam set out on the Quest, Rosie instructed him to be sure to pick up something green and figure-hugging at ...

... those neat elf shops.

Rimbaud 11-23-2004 03:30 AM

The Stone of the Hapless

Alas, poor Túrin, I knew him...Nienor...

Never the most encouraging stone to hold.

The Saucepan Man 11-23-2004 03:42 AM

Well done Rimbaud. :) I thought that one might be rather tricksy, but you have the measure of it. Please proceed ...

Rimbaud 11-23-2004 03:58 AM

Tricksome tempts the trickster

Yet however you view the weather, there's nothing like a real pea-souper.

A fog ran drips down my face in San Francisco...

Nilpaurion Felagund 11-24-2004 02:03 AM

. . . while gentle dew trickles down me in the Spring of Arda. :)

Rimbaud 11-24-2004 06:55 AM

Naturally -

You are absolutely correct. Take it away with an 'A', N. Felagund.

Nilpaurion Felagund 11-24-2004 10:15 PM

Taking it . . .

I saw this most funny spectacle yesterday: An oliphaunt tramping while crying:

Ai! Alatar can't ran!

The funny part being the oliphaunt speaking.

That's just stupid.

Rimbaud 11-25-2004 03:01 AM

Gives me Gondor's most glorious King, Atanatar Alcarin.

Nilpaurion Felagund 11-25-2004 09:10 PM

Yes, it does.

Take the thread, O Perilous Poet!

Rimbaud 11-26-2004 04:13 AM

Thankee

When highly ironic constituents wanted to keep an MP from North of the border, they proclaimed:

Bin Scot (not).

luthien-elvenprincess 11-26-2004 06:20 AM

That might be Nibs Cotton

Rimbaud 11-26-2004 06:36 AM

Indeed it is

Well done, your turn!

luthien-elvenprincess 11-27-2004 09:08 AM

Firefoot, it took you a whole 16 minutes to figure that out! Good job!

Firefoot 11-27-2004 10:39 AM
