Gil-Galad 03-05-2004 05:26 PM

lets see....Name the family tree of Finwe (yes i am evil)

The Perky Ent 03-05-2004 06:13 PM

Name the family tree? Well how am i suppost to do that? well:

Maedhros--------------------------------Finrod Felegond
Maglor---------------------------
Celegorm
Curufin*
Caranthir
Amrod
Amras

Wait, this is too hard, so i'll list them. Is the answer The House of Finwe and the Noldorian descendants of Elrond and Elros? If not, i'll list the members, Finwe, Miriel, Indis, Feanor, Fingolfin, Finarfin, Earwen of Alqualonde, Maedhros, Maglor, Celegorm, Curufin, Celebrimbor, Caranthir, Amrod, Amras, Finrod Felagond, Orodreth, Findulias, Angrod, Aegnor, Galadriel, Fingon, Turgon, Adrehel, Eöl, Maeglin, Gil-Galad, Idril, Tuor, Earendil, Elwing, Elrond and Elros! Finally! Whew

Gil-Galad 03-05-2004 06:15 PM

The Perky Ent 03-05-2004 06:21 PM

Gil-Galad 03-05-2004 06:24 PM

....i said Elros and Elronds family tree, not random people

The Perky Ent 03-05-2004 06:26 PM

I just gave you all the people in Elrond and Elros's family tree! What exactly are you asking? Please be more descriptive! By the way, this is very easy trivia, so i shouldn't have to go through pages of the Sil and UT to find the anser!

Gil-Galad 03-05-2004 06:40 PM

Are you saying that ELros had no sons? and no grandsons etc etc...anyway i just wanted to make you mad so either show me the rest of the tree or go with a new question

luthien-elvenprincess 03-05-2004 07:06 PM

Perky...I am in awe of your patience!:)

The Perky Ent 03-05-2004 08:11 PM

OK, Gil-Galad, this is where I draw the line. This is VERY EASY TRIVIA!!!! i think we need a sausepan man ruling on this, because i think it's outrageous! If you read the first post of this thread is says you shouldn't have to look it up! I shouldn't have to do research for 10 minutes!

The Saucepan Man 03-05-2004 08:22 PM

Cut it out

Very Easy Trivia it's not. Please stick to the guidelines for the thread, Gil-Galad. And don't rise to it, Perky Ent.

Now, Perky Ent, please continue the thread with a new question.

The Perky Ent 03-05-2004 10:19 PM

Right, Next Question: What was the name of the Mountain that Smaug took from dwarves who hired Bilbo to be their burgular? Give it's two names!

luthien-elvenprincess 03-06-2004 07:18 AM

The Lonely Mountain or Erebor

The Perky Ent 03-06-2004 08:32 AM

Correct et Correct!

luthien-elvenprincess 03-06-2004 09:00 AM

Easy...even for the movie-goers only.

What color was the pony on the sign of the Prancing Pony?

The Perky Ent 03-06-2004 09:25 AM

um...brown?

luthien-elvenprincess 03-06-2004 10:13 AM

no

Arvedui III 03-06-2004 10:14 AM

The pony was white.

luthien-elvenprincess 03-06-2004 10:17 AM

White it was...your turn Arvedui:cool:

Arvedui III 03-06-2004 10:27 AM

Thanks. Herm... on the subject of pony's, when did Bill leave the Quest?

The Perky Ent 03-06-2004 10:30 AM

at the doors of Moria where the watcher attacked the fellowship

Arvedui III 03-14-2004 03:53 PM

Good. Your go.

NightKnight 03-19-2004 09:51 AM

Perky Ent?

The Perky Ent 03-20-2004 12:16 AM

Sorry, new easy question. Feanor made three shiny things. What were they?

Fingolfin II 03-20-2004 12:24 AM

The Silmarils?

Fingolfin II 03-21-2004 02:00 AM

Assuming I'm right, I'll ask another easy question. What is the name of Gimli's father?

NightKnight 03-21-2004 05:08 AM

Actually, you're supposed to wait for confirmation. But the answer to your question is Gloin.

Fingolfin II 03-23-2004 12:48 AM

Right on both counts.

NightKnight 03-23-2004 12:59 AM

Who was the son of king Thranduil of Mirkwood?

Gil-Galad 03-23-2004 04:43 PM

Legolas, son of Thranduil, Son of Orodreth

NightKnight 03-24-2004 01:36 AM

Correct. But Thranduil's father was Oropher, not Orodreth. Orodreth lived in the First Age.

Gil-Galad 03-24-2004 10:07 PM

yah i get those mixed up all the time...

How did Oropher die!? and why?

Gil Galad 03-24-2004 10:14 PM

Oropher died in the battle of the last allience, along with two thirds of his army. Thranduil survived and returned to found Mirkwood. Am I right?

NightKnight 03-25-2004 11:46 AM

Two Gil-Galads...confusing. Anyway, he was killed during the battle of Dagorlad, and since Gil Galad hasn't stated why, I'll say it: It was because he and his army rushed forward before Gil-galad had given signal, and so they were cut off from the army.

Gil-Galad 03-25-2004 06:15 PM

Gil Galad(i'm still the original) is rrrrrrrrrrrrrwrong!
NightKnight has it! Oropher died because he rushed too quick AND was ill-armed so, the NK man its your go!

Edit: Oropher founded Greenwood i believe, then Thranduil just became the new king

NightKnight 03-27-2004 06:08 AM

On the topic of elves and men...

Who was the elf that "found" men in Beleriand?

The Perky Ent 03-27-2004 07:47 AM

Finrod Felagond?

NightKnight 03-28-2004 07:02 AM

Correct. They called him Nom, which means Wisdom.
